We were in the middle of taking money out of an ATM near Whitechapel when a black guy passing by was advertising semi loudly that he was selling hash, I was curious about getting some, so I ask him how much for a gram, tells me 10pounds ,sounds like an alright price, never smoked hash before, why not, so I ask my friends about it, they don't look happy about the situation, after the guy tries to haggle give me his phone etc, I tell him that my friends are not in the mood and he goes on his way.I should note, this is all happening before our money or debit cards are out of the ATM,and they guy seemed too careless about dealing in the middle of a main Street to be sober. My friends afterwards get angry about what I did and berate me,saying that he could have mugged us, maybe pulled a knife, that I was being stupid doing this shit after a cop car passed by speeding not 5 minutes ago, also whilst withdrawing money.

Were their concerns founded in reality?
I doubt he'd do anything stupid like Rob us at the ATM with CCTV everywhere on a main-ish street, or that the police would care about a tiny drug deal when they obviously had more important stuff going on.
