I need to learn the secret of how to hang from a bar for 2 minutes straight, a couple carnivals and shit are coming through my way and they all have this as a contest, please teach me the secret to the dead hang so I can fleece them

Probably both, but it could just be a lack of muscular endurance and you just need practice

They’re gonna have super wide grip bars and you won’t be allowed to use gloves. It’s gonna be basically impossible to win especially if you can only hold for 45 seconds on a regular bar.

Do it every day, progressive overload (= add 10 sec every day or something).

Try pull ups with extra weight or deadlifts. For the carnaval, the bar will probably be loose, I mean it can probably spin so hold one hand at the opposite side or you will not be able to hold longer than 20 Seconds.

The real answer is that the bar rolls one direction which makes your grip slip, try to suspend yourself with your grip curled around the bar as exaggerated as possile in the chin-up position (easier than supinated) so you’ll have more time before your wrists are rolled to a too compromising position.
