I had an annoying skeleton friend who lifted with me for a while, he'd always complain that no matter what he couldn't gain. I asked him to write down everything he ate for a day and then let me see so I could calculate what he was eating for him. Guy claimed he was easily putting down 4,000 calories a day. By my calculations, he was getting in less than 1,500.
My point here is, even if you're completely nutritionally backwards, you should have a pretty close idea to what you're getting in even without counting. Just be honest with yourself. The bottom line is, you're no better than fatties that say they can't lose when the simple truth is they're just eating too much. And they know, and you know, that reality. You're just not owning up to it.
My suggestion is to eat more. There are "hacks" to get more calories in. Start adding peanut butter to protein shakes, add dipping sauces to everything, force yourself to clean your plate, bump your meals up from whatever they are now by one and keep doing that consistently. Your body adapts to what you put it through, you're not going to go from eating like a little girl to eating like a strongman in a day. You're going to have to consistently bump those meals up and work up to it, just like you do with the weights. Your body is a machine, start treating it like one.

Liquids are the easiest way to get excess calories in. Theres nothing inherently wrong with drinking weight gainers and shit if you physically cant stomach eating 2500+ calories worth of less calorie dense foods. With that being said, dont make the bulk of your diet processed, sugary shit. And despite what you may read, you dont need to mega bulk on 3k-4k+ calories. Your body can efficiently put on size on a small calorie surplus. 200-300 daily should be more than enough. If you want more, aim for 3-5lbs a month. Anything more than that as a natty, youll put on body fat as well.
