> tfw bench more than I squat
tfw bench more than I squat
I know that feel
I have fucked up kneecaps so I literally just cannot physically exert very much force though my quads.
I can deadlift decent cause my hamstrings and back are ok but I’ve just accepted 2 plate is my absolute max
>be literal skeleton
>can leg press 85kg easy
>only just able to do 35kg Bench
I'm in for a long and painful trip, but I have to start somewhere or I'll never improve
>85kg leg press
shoo shoo skeleton
same
Weird how such a large portion of Jow Forums has some weird leg problem that just stops them from squatting. Learn the form and stop being a pusy
Came back to lifting after an injury after five months. My bench is the same as my squat. FUCK
How much do you bench?
If you can’t squat 150kg then you shouldn’t be on this fucking board.
Squats are literally the easiest lift going.
>everyone on Jow Forums has bad knees that prevent them from squatting
>everyone on Jow Forums has perfectly healthy shoulders to bench though
Training legs is for insecure skellys. Don't worry about it
>can't brace core due to bav
Iktf, OP
>TFW benched 4pl8 before i squatted 4pl8
man you guys are faggots. I have had 2 knee reconstructions and have broken my patella once. Yes I have some pain when I squat but it doesnt stop me. stop making fucking excuses. Just finished my 9th week lifting and hit 2pl8 squat. (100kg) and 300kg leg press. Just fucking do it.
you're not alone little guy.
Literally everyone at the gym does one (1) ONE!! fucking compound only.
What is it?
The bench press.
>Terrible form.
>Can't progress more than 1.5 pl8 even after years of training.
>Faggots looking dyel after 3+ years
>Bicep curls are main accessory
you belong with the rest of those faggots.
>alpha
At least:
Squat
Deadlift
Press
Clean
Pullup/Chinup
Dip
FOR FUCK'S SAKE AT LEAST DO THESE EXERCISES BESIDES THE FUCKING BENCH PRESS
but then again, what do I care? you guys drop out of the gym after a few years, becuase you're actually lifting for pussy, which you won't get anyway... more room for me
i bench and squat about the same because I don't own a squat rack
That's pretty much the sticky, isn't it? Goes to show what a load of crap everyone around here is full of.
Breh.. you shouldn't have pain when you squat. Training through pain isn't cool-- you're an adult, learn to take care of your body.
t-there aren't people who unironically ONLY do bench, r-right? No one can be that retarded
Google patella Alta retard and then kys
It’s literally a leverage and stability problem
So unless you find a way to reshape my leg bones please fuck off
I can't bench more than 65kg without immense pain in my right shoulder (work injury, bicep tendonitis). Yesterday I squatted 155kg for my new pb. Can we trade?
>tfw curl more than I squat
whats bav?
>can push good numbers on a full body exercise that applies more to daily life strength
vs
>having a good bench for online points
man i think you got it well off
same
Same. Actually I can squat more than I bench, but my form breaks down.
>Clean
lol what's the point of this retarded and dangerous as fuck exercise?
Bicuspid aortic valve
Lemme guess around 135-185lbs
Not OP, but yeah.
75-80 kg Bench
70-75 kg Squat
Thats what you get for doing a bro split
How does doing bro splits affect this?
Bro splits are the nr1 cause of serious muscle imbalance and lack of gains
Micropenis is nr1 by far, i cant imagine a worse fate
I use to lift 4 years ago and was decently strong, especially my bench. I had a 1-2 year hiatus due to a midlife crisis, and just got back into lifting 2 months ago.
My bench press is at 225 lbs x 5 x 5, yet my squat is at (and struggling to get this) 160 lbs x 3 x 5 which is pretty embarrassing. It will obviously catch up but I still cringe at the thought my legs are that bad
Dunno about that.
Anyway, I pesonally do Back, Shoulders, Legs, Chest, Rest, repeat.
>mid life crisis
ok boomer
>160lbs squat
Dude wtf check your form that shit is not normal
i bet your gains are dogshit mane, this seems like way too little intensity and way too much isolation
It's highbar is thats any better, but yea I'm really trying to drill form and ATG. Squatting 3 days a week will probably help tho
I’m prob at the point now too. I got too afraid to continue squats a deadlifts after my back started hurting so switched to front squats, but even with those if I go above my body weight my back hurts. I hate it cause 3 months ago got lmao 3 plates for 3 reps.
user, i...
leg press is usually 2-3x heavier than squat
I do high bar too, just check that form my dude thats way too weak you are either doing something wrong or not pushing yourself enough. I squatted once a week and achieved 220 in about 8 weeks of lifting, (currently at 315) squat should progress pretty fast
My gains are pretty good. Started 2 months ago and gained about 5 kg while staying lean.
My workouts are intense and I focus mainly on compound exercises. I actually pretty much just copied "The perfect back, shoulders, legs, chest workout" from Athlean-x.
But squatting just feels weird. I never feel like I am doing it right. Always too uncomfortable.
Watch the squat videos by Alan Thrall, they are unironically one of the best and work on squat mobility. Buy lifting shoes, they help a lot. Also Jeff is a great guy but i sincerely hope you didnt pay the 99 dollars or so that he asks for his programs
Cleans are safer than benching
How is bench even dangerous? Just use the god damn safeties so you dont kill yourself if you fail
Alan Thrall's videos have helped me quite a bit.
I considered buying lifting shoes but they cost around 180 and they're needed pretty much just for squatting. Can't justify spending that much.
What are Jeff's programs even about? Is it just printed schedules?
Knee problems?
squating is gay, just do leg press, extension/curl, some biking etc
MoreMile lifting shoes from ebay cost 30 euros and have survived for almost 2 years for me
Whatever. Just keep going. Don’t focus on numbers so much and then everything will be a bit more fun.
This post is a perfect reminder that 99% of Jow Forums are complete dyels. Never take lifting advice from people like this poster
imagine caring so much about squatting
