I've been having this argument with a friend who thinks a human couldn't beat a gorilla in a fight. If you trained powerlifting, boxing and MMA. Then you should be able to fight a gorilla and win.
Gorilla are a bit stronger than a normal human, but a 6'4 heavyweight fighter should be able to take him out.
He argued that a human cannot beat a chimpanzee. Which is also really stupid as an untrained male could beat a chimpanzee in a fight.

As fucking dumb as you are and as oblivious as you are to what the sheer testosterone level in a gorilla makes them capable of in terms of explosiveness, I think it is not totally inconceivable that a very strong jiujitsu fighter could wrap up a gorilla 1 time out of 10.
However, no human will ever out-strike a gorilla. No matter how strong or explosive, there's nothing you could ever do to hurt them without a rare and incredibly unlikely turn of events in which some jiujitsu magic locks them up.

Believe it or not, you can actually beat a gorillo with unarmed. Easiest/quickest way to train for this would be the slave camp start - you want to carry rocks for strength and get into fights with guards and other prisoners for toughness and MA stat. Some guys can get their MA into the 80s in only a few weeks. At that point you should be able to beat both a gorillo and beak things in unarmed.
You will still die to groups though.
