There is no "what else," you consistently eat LESS until you are skinny. That's it. I'm down 30 lbs and I've stayed there for 6+ months without the slightest hint of relapse because every time I reduce my food, it's permanent. It's just the new normal. That's what you gotta do.
You need to eat less food. You can do this by lowering daily intake or by limiting how many days a week you eat. Try the first but if you have a hard time counting calories and limiting daily intake then consider fasting. At your weight I would recommend regular 48-72 hour fasts. Go to /fast/ look up the electrolyte water formula posted there, it can help you manage energy levels and cravings while you drop weight.
Its unclear which method is healthier or easier.

Ive been eating a lot less, skipped snacks and went down from 260 to 210 as a 5'8 18 year old male in my senior year of hs this year over 4 months. Just eat whatever you want but count your calories and ignore all of the meme diets, they don't work and there is no cheat to lose weight.

48 hr would be eating one meal on monday and then next meal same time on wednesday.

It sucked for me as well I had moments like that. You have to tough through it man, it is'nt easy. Whenever you can stock up on healthy snacks like vegetables, or desu don't snack at all. If you are not cravin water go for a run, yoou will trust me.

Well not really. It will give you more energy. Plain water fasting is not recommended because it will make you feel lethargic and cold.
The first couple 48 hour fasts you do, you will feel intense cravings but they will pass once your liver runs out of sugar and has to use fat. Its a smart idea for your general health to avoid refined carbohydrates (sugar, white bread, white rice, white pasta, flour). Whole grain versions of those (whole grain bread, whole grain pasta, brown rice) are fine. White/Red potatoes & sweet potatoes are fine. Most other cereals like rolled oats are fine.
I strongly recommend you just stop eating those refined ones altogether; you could lose a lot of weight by only cutting those out of your diet.

OP, learn how to cook. Learn how to cook and enjoy things like rice, sweet potatoes, chicken breast, other lean cuts of meat. Learn how to cook vegetables and how to enjoy them. It's almost impossible to get fat just by eating vegetables and they'll help fill you up so you'll eat less of the more caloric stuff. In the morning, drop the cheerios and learn how to eat oats, scrambled eggs, greek yogurt, etc.
And yes, you can enjoy a piece of cake, a big mac or a large soda once in a while.

I'll tell you my diet that I am currently using to drop 1kg a week.
1 cup scrambled egg whites - Twice a day
100g can of tuna in Spring water
1 Protein shake with water
150g chicken breast with mushroom
500g steamed broccoli
100g steamed carrots
I cook with olive oil or butter. I will also do an hour walk/jog every morning. If you are scared of mercury from Tuna then alternate a 200g tub of cottage cheese and a tin of mussels every second day.
Lower your portions to nothing and stop eating until you stop being fat
Add salt, potassium, and water as necessary.

yeah, I'm four days into intermittent fasting one meal a day and it's great; OP, I highly recommend trying eating one meal a day or less, it can be a normal filling meal I think is okay
OP learn about fasting on fit and youtube you will like it
Don't get sucked into the fasting meme unless it's OMAD or IF, eat at a caloric deficit and work out more.
