Just got this used bass for 40 dollars. It sucks the guy was a smoker because it's supposed to be pearl white but yellow tinted af now, I got a lot of the old smell since last night off but need to get new strings on it and also clean up the fretboard and other hardware

Ya'll nibbas play any instruments besides the skin flute?

Violin. Actually, I used to be a concertmaster

What kind? I have my brothers old chinese violin, if I replace the strings on it will it sound better or will it always be as tinny because of the construction/materials?

guitar, piano

Guitar, piano, harmonica. I like playing blues mostly

What kind of guitar(s) you got? How long you been playing?

If it was a cheap violin then it'll sound like shit no matter what you do.

i have a beautiful 2005 fender mustang MIJ that is can barely play, yet I am the guitarist in a band. strange how that works

Get that shit refinished

I'm not doing all that how much would that even cost

I wish I could get a bass like that for 40 dollars

It's an Ibanez Mikro GSRM20 it's shortscale but it's 22 frets with the same size as any of my electric guitars honestly I love it. Some old man was selling it downtown to go to Florida and I picked it up and cleaned it up as best I could right now

I play the guitar and occasionally bass.
My favorite guitar is like this.

I have a Ibanez SR205 and SR506 basses
A basic Ibanez GIO 6 string and an ESP LTF H-207 7 string electric
And another cheap low end (but overall nice) Ibanez acoustic guitar too.

Bass, guitar, ukulele and harmonica.
I would like to learn the piano but I'm getting too old and don't have really much free time anymore to learn an instrument

I play guitar/bass and piano

I can do some basic drums too I guess

You can do it yourself, it's not that hard
You're never too old to learn a new instrument

OP here

Who's in NorCal and wants to start a band I want to play some indie rock like Alvvays

Yamaha TRBX174

i have many guitars, also 15 years

I used to play saxophone but I have completely forgotten it all now. I bought an ocarina too but didn't get far into learning. Honestly I want to learn an instrument again but I'm too anxious about people hearing my shit beginner attempts so I want to get a piano or electric guitar I can practice with headphones on.

Nice, I have an EG112C and Yamaha makes good instruments

Jealous. Is that USD? I love Ibanez. Just guitar. I wouldn't mind a keyboard at some point.

Yeah there was a Michael Kelly I wanted to get on Nextdoor but the bitch sold it she wanted only 120 for it

>American guitars

I own a lot of synths that I wish I could play more, but I work so much and then when I get home I am dead. I want to get a guitar too - right now I am trying to choose between a Duosonic HS (Like in pic) or a G&L Tribute Fallout. Any tips from guitar players? Are offsets and coil splits a meme? I want something quality to learn on and bedroom record with.
