If you want to get swole: Bodybuilding

If you want to get swole: Bodybuilding.

If you want to get stronk: Powerlifting.

Is there a named way of training if you just want to be athletic and healthy?

Yeah it's called getting fit
Fucking retarded ass frogposters

U mad bro?

cardio

Just lift a little bit in various rep ranges, although strength should be prioritized when lifting imo, it has better benefits than the metabolic type training.

Do cardio, stretches, mobility drills, prehab work, eat well, get enough rest.

Yeah. Got it. And what kinds of workout would be recommended for weight training?

u retarded OP? yeah, u are

powerlifting isn't even necessarily stronk. it's about reducing the range of motion as much as possible so you can lift as much weight as possible. that isn't the same thing as actually being strong

Strongman, and some even go the "Power building" route. Look up Terry Hollands.

calisthenics + natural nutrition plan

Probably a full body, compound oriented routine.

Something basic 3-4 sets in a moderate rep range of 4-8 reps, with a higher rep backoff set.

Exercises to always focus on:
Squat
Deadlift or Romanian DL, back extensions
Leg Curl
Bench
OHP or incline bench
Chinup/Pullup/Lat Pulldown
Row variants, chest supported/dumbell/bentover
Quick isolation stuff like some arm stuff, some core stuff, lat delt raises, calf raises.

Something simple, quick on time
Squat 3x5 + 1-2x12
Bench 3x5 + 1-2x12
Row 3x5 + 1-2x12
then hit isolation leg curls, tricep extensions, bicep curls 2x12-15, throw in hanging leg raises and back extensions, go for a 20 minute run or something.

To cut down on time you spend in the gym you can superset chest/back work if you take 1.5-2 minutes rest in between each, and definitely the isolation stuff because they don't really effect one another.

Redpilled

So, if I simplify it a little bit more, it looks like Stronglifts 5x5 with additional arm and core work and a different rep range (which seems nice to me). I try to limit my weightlifting to three times a week and not longer than 1,5 hours per session, so I have still time for cardio, yoga, etc.

Oh and also Mike O'Hearn. Both them fellas are into the "power building" thing, which IMO, is what a real man looks like and should strive for.

Yeah basically Stronglifts, SS, Texas Method, etc.
Hit the big lifts, try to progress, throw in some accessory stuff.

Thanks a lot for your replies, I highly appreciate you taking the time to give answers with substance.

I declare this thread to be very wholesomepilled
Good job anons. We only have each other and together we can all become fit

crossfit

Wow thread ruined.

>just want to be athletic and healthy
Crossfit

calisthenics + some cardio

Bro split.
7 days a week only take rest days when your body tells you to/motivation runs low.
Cut down to sub 10% first
Then perma lean bulk and do mini cuts when you feel too fat.

>Strongman
>Healthy
How strong are your joints user

Train and play sports, duh

This is CrossFit, you’ll meet some Stacys too to make social gains (yes, you get to do partner workouts with these stacys)

Stronger than yours, FAGGOT

Strength training with lots of cardio you just stop trying to increase your strength after 1/2/3/4.

I lift to mirror my ancestors in aesthetics and strength, so I both bodybuild and lift for strength, but neither to any kind of extreme.
What should we call doing both?

It's called cardio

How is powerlifting not healthy and athletic?

Not OP.
How much do I run each session?

Outside or treadmill? Why?

Fasted or not?

Does cardio kill gains?

Looking to become tren-levels of muscle definition.

My diet is outstanding.

Attached: 1559417865098.png (1077x564, 582K)

>diet should consist of mostly whole foods and less processed foods
>intense cardio, whatever that means to you (15 minutes minimum)
>any other cardio; walking, casual cycling, whatever gets you to move
>Lifting for strength (50% of time)
>Lifting for endurance (50% of time)
>Flexibility training: i.e. yoga
>calisthenics
>mental health/self care
>lots of fuckin water

All that and anyone can make it

>Outside or treadmill
Whatever works better for you, outside has more benefits in all, but it's not so substantial that you HAVE to
>fasted or not
Whatever you can do more of, thermodynamics say that it doesn't matter
>Does fasted cardio kill gains?
As long as you're not under/over-training or not getting enough nutrition in your regular diet, which you said was good

Not OP but looking for something similar, would this be 4 days a week?

This but unironically
