>Math is hard!
Nigger did you try studying it instead of jerking off?
If you have a non-stem degree you're actually retarded
I went to college to enjoy myself and pursue academic areas that interest me. I'll leave STEM to incels like you.
We dont read and write poetry because its cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. - Robin Williams
>he actually thinks people on the cutting edge of math do it for the real world, and not because it's just kick-ass.
STEM is for virgin service cucks. Chad studied finance was in school for half as long and makes twice as much
>muh mythical creature did X
shut up faggot.
>I went to college to enjoy myself and pursue academic areas that interest me.
College isn't about enjoying yourself dumbass, its a purely financial decision. Retards like you "follow your passion" and then end up here in a few years wondering why you're about to become homeless and bitching about your $50k in debt.
did STEM, was low iq, graduated computer engineering with 2.9 GPA khhv. took me one year to find a job as web app dev making 50k a year.
one chad i was friends with in first year graduated in economics, and he works in shopify as a product manager.
>tfw no stem bf who talks down to me for being a high school dropout
STEMtards are this generations blue collar workers with the exception they are insufferable faggots and I actually feel happy when I see there companies going bust. All of them think AI and automation is their competition when in reality it's just cheap pajeets fresh off the boat.
t.finance and economics degree fund manager
>t. amerimutt
This just proves how fucked up your country is. 50k for college, wtf like where do they get those figures for. I got a degree in Europe with only 8k.
This unironically sounds amazing, if you're in the and are at least not fat lmk.
You can enjoy yourself while getting a stem degree, wtf kinda shit is this homie
>I got a degree in Europe with only 8k.
HAHHAHA I got it for free in eastern europe
>location redacted
In the where?
I'm skinnyfat desu.
hi guys, i'm thinking of taking a break from university to get my highschool math credits, but i don't know a thing about math and don't know how to prepare or start for 11th grade functions
will khanacademy help me or is learning math this late a lost cause
You're engineering your way to nowhere stupid.
B-b-but muh fulfillment.
>prepare
>11th grade functions
Underaged.
breaking my balls to actually get a degree and a good job just to only have the standards of "not fat" and getting a highschool dropout gf
this shit is just unfair
>"wtf like where do they get those figures for."
They didn't teach you what syntax is evidently.
in canada, you have the option to stop taking math after the 11th grade. i took the college/applied level math and then i just stopped doing math. i'm trying to retake the classes now
And in 10 years youll cry about how the world isnt fair and vote for a socialist because you make minimum wage and have six figures in student debt
Never to late user. Khan academy is good but try chegg aswell
You're actually right. Anyone who is making a difference is in the field due to unadulterated passion for their subject. Anyone who went into STEM for the money, meanwhile, is a part of what's known as the "bozo horizon"; basically this is a conglomerate of workers that simply don't have what it takes to meaningfully contribute to their profession. If this bozo horizon reaches a critical mass, it spells the innovative and financial failure of a corporation (or possibly even larger entity). These people should in theory only be allowed at the entry or mid level in moderate amounts. They will never quite find true insight, never quite reach fulfillment, and never quiet nail down their angst. They will die as they lived: meekly.
So congrats that you're in STEM I guess.
>got my first class for a Commerce (economics) degree in a few days
Am I fucked lads? I wasn't expecting to get an economics degree and easily get a 100k a year job or anything, but a lot of the uni threads on here have told me that I'm totally fucked if I do this degree
So, lawyers, CEOs, accountants and doctors are retarded?
do you think goldman sachs is a mythical place?
Doctors and accountants are STEM
I must have subconsciously deleted it holy shit dude this is a sign.
Bay area
Yet women still have trouble staying skinny, even here in the Bay most of them look gross.
I've always thought that math was super easy, just boring as shit. Pretty much the same feeling towards other STEM fields.
Is nursing STEM?
Just barely, yes. If psychology is considered STEM than I'd say nursing is too.
phew
yeah fuck all these non-stem losers, then
I'm from ohio but could move.
Just rope, honestly
uber cope my humanities bruh
A good nurse is a very valuable thing.
nursing is medicine so yes
>tfw liberal arts bachelors degree
>tfw stem masters degree
I chose to do two liberal arts degrees because they were challenging. Maths is simple, straightforward and boring. Philosophy is abstract an interesting and open to interpretation.
Mathematics is not kick-ass. It is useful, but certainly not that beneficial to a persons image.
>open to interpretation
you say that like it's not a defect that, ideally, would be corrected.
>two liberal arts degrees
>math is simple
>this interpretation of philosophy as if its gonna land him a good job
Lmfao
To be fair you're fitting his paradigm perfectly. Math seems like a good choice for losers like you who want to settle for low-risk stability but still have a pedestal with which to look down your nose at others despite earning sub-six figures. Tell me, have you reconciled your angst yet?
I just got a mechanical engineering degree and can't find a job
I tried engineering but then decided I'd rather drop out cause I hate it. Luckily I was in college on scholarships and shit cause no debt now. college was basically a gigantic waste of time.
People that are good at math generally can never understand how difficult it can be to some people. I have to spend 4x as many hours memorizing to even stand a chance because numbers just dont work in my brain.
A college degree is worthless unless you NETWORK. This is true regardless of what course you're doing.
>memorizing
user, you poor fool. it's not social "sciences" where the sanctioned opinion could be just about anything, thereby requiring memorization. math can only go one way.
I was good at math up through calculus 2 but then we get to calculus 3 and I literally cannot understand any of its concepts past vectors even when I study
I'm either retarded or brilliant at math. On the one hand, I'm slow, I screw up basic addition, I have to count on my fingers, I lose my place easily, I forget basic concepts, I guess/estimate and do process of elimination or working backwards a lot to solve problems, I have to manually stack up multiples and add them to do multiplication, I get stuck in loops a lot, I don't always know when to stop or when I've solved a problem, and I get mixed up when numbers or variables are similar colors.
On the other hand, I can do big operations in my head, I basically have auto-mnemonics for everything, I'm able to grasp concepts intuitively, I can memorize and recall massive proofs, and I can at least understand the basics of everything from Euclid to Einstein.
I perpetually feel like the slow retard among the whiz kids, but I have my uses.
im dogshit at math but the literature degree im studying is fucking boring
i think im gonna teach myself a bit of coding and switch to something stem
