Having a girlfriend won't change or solve any of your problems. Sure, maybe for the first few months or so, things will be fine. Hell, you'll feel great. Especially if you're affectionate with one another. But that won't last forever.
Nine times out of ten, you will probably be cheated on if you have a large friend group. Even if that doesn't happen, if you guys get into an argument or something happens that drives a wedge between both of you, then you're fucked; she can spread rumors about you simply because she happened to be pissed off at you, your friends believe her over them, and you end up with less than you had before. Or she can lie about being raped. Or destroy your property.
Plenty of people who have had dedicated partners ended up unhappy. Divorce favors the women, so there will be a fairly likely chance that if you both owned a home together, she'll end up taking that too.
Remember that relationships are overrated. Get a hobby that brings you fulfillment. If you want companionship, get a pet. If you want to feel like you are appreciated, volunteer. Having a girlfriend is just inviting more problems into your life.
