The boss comes then because I am alone so we could have a private moment. Then the boss wants to call me cute but always chickens out at the last moment due to fear of harassment lawsuits. :'3
>tfw when big boss man ceo aint around, nor main man manager and not even big boi manager but just you and your homie co worker
chill as fuck
It sounds like a lot of levels of managers to just mange two people.
Well my department is 2 people and the manager manages 4 people and the other dude manages multiple departments.
With the proper application of management, three managers can extract the equivalent productivity of ten people from a mere two cucks.
It's all a matter of understaffing and overworking them.
*makes up lie about why I can't stay late*
If you provide value to the company, they won't fire you. Grow some balls.
>tfw boss comes up to you 10 minutes before you clock out to ask if you want any desserts that are going to be thrown away

>tfw your manager offers you to get a cup of coffee but just corners you in a quiet part of the office to put you in the prisoners dilemma.
I do provide value. I sayd I could stay 1hr tops.
this shit happened right now.
i leave my job at 6 pm and he told me to stay there for 15 more minutes.
i stayed there and i left so angry that i said loudly to my co-worker, YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES YOU KINDA UNDERSTAND THOSE PEOPLE WHO GO POSTAL AND STARTS KILLING EVERYONE.
man, i said that on the heat of the moment y'know, but if she snitches me to the manager, i'll probably be fired tomorrow.
FUCK SAKE
Maybe you've scared him into submission
>your boss stands up and starts walking toward your desk, laptop in hand
I can work from home and it's bliss.
>Coworker tries to make small talk with you.
>"You don't have a TV? What do you do for fun when you get home?"
>"You don't have friends? What do you do on the weekend?"
OP here, I worked a 12pm to 6pm shift and the manager asked me to stay 2 more hrs. 15mins are fucking nothing my dude. Unless you started at 6am.
>Your commanding officer comes up looking for you 30 minutes before you go home
>Tfw my old coworkers told me "Don't disappear, you don't have any friends, don't let us go" before i decide to quit
god, this kind of shit. I was at work and my two other colleagues were talking about grills (not girls) I was chuckling to myself thinking what fucking normies I have to deal with.
>no sub subordinate to dominate and creamoie his boiholes
that shit almost happened today. Had to make a delivery through town 40 minutes before weclock out and it was in the midle of rush hour. I got back exactly when everyone was clocking out.
i started at 9 am.
the reason i got so angry is because they don't pay for overtime. basically working for free
I've been at work for a 39 hour stretch before, but it would be worse to have to stay for some bullshit like ten minutes when you thought you were going home. I would fucking bounce.
same dude, I work 12pm-8pm on mon, wen and fri. 12pm-6pm on tue and thu. Today was thu and I had to work 2 hrs extra with normal pay.
>2 minutes before closing time
>customer comes in
>"hah, I made it just in time, lucky me!"
I want to butcher these motherfuckers, savagely and mercilessly.
One time, back when I worked retail. I had someone do this to me.
The trick is to tell the customer that the store is closing really soon and you cant wait around for them.
>Small office
>President asks me how I'm doing at the copy machine
>Offhandedly mention grandfather having minor surgery tomorrow
>Proceed to have my boss, my boss's boss, and my boss's boss's boss all come to my desk one at a time to let me know I can take tomorrow off
>"No really, it's fine."
>Phone won't stop blowing up with text messages from coworkers asking how I'm doing.
>data management
>just tidy up stock footage for production team for some travel company
>upload all my work to server
>takes 40-60 mins to upload
>stop working at 5pm to upload so I can leave around 6
>manager throws me shit because I am not working in that hour that it takes to upload
>forces me to work till 6 and then upload
>leave at 6:40-7pm consistently
FUUUUCK THIS IS NOT FAIR
>Cost of living keeps going up
>Wages aren't
>Bosses keep cutting benefits over time (pensions, 401k, flex time)
>8 hour day meme is ineffective and old
>People have student debt to pay back in the hundreds of thousands because they can't walk in and shake the bosses hand and say they want the job like their retard boomer parents
>Employers want educated and experienced candidates -- better have a long internship or a master's degree, goy (and no we're not gonna pay for your education LOL)
>Enjoy your hour-a-day commute to get back home to spend an hour cooking and cleaning and then maybe three hours conscious enjoying what you actually work for
>"WHY DO MILLENNIAL CHANGE JOBS SO OFTEN" (because burn out is 100% real and nobody is offering solid incentive to stay at a company for long)
I hate being alive. My mom graduated college in the 80s with a history degree and worked as a COBOL programmer with 0 experience. Dad never even went to college, just started working at equivelant 40k + retirement + job security (union) + benefits.
Fuck all of this. Fuck it. FUck corporate culture, fuck the economy, fuck boomers. I'm gonna do everything I can to ruin their present. All I'm asking for is sympathy but no, none of that for my 60 hour work-weeks. I'm just lazy and entitled. Gonna live at home forever just to spite these fat fucking boomers.
That sucks dude. Why can't others let us have those small yet wonderful things in life. Why must always suffering be added and joy subtracted.
you faggots ruined the board, just leave these threads alone
>tfw you stopped giving a fuck about having to stay because theres fuck all to do at home anyway
Hows live now user?
I work an office job for a huge corporation. I like it, the pay is fair and the benefits are pretty good but they still do some shitty stuff. It's pretty much impossible to advance internally unless you go from regular wagie to management. They'll give 2-3% raises for inflation each year but if you ever want to get a big raise you have to be promoted to management or get another job.
What really pisses me off about that is they have no problem paying more to hire externally. They'll hire someone for my same position in the same city with comparable experience/qualifications and start them out at 10-15% higher than I make because "that's just the cost of acquiring talent" but if you ask for a raise that big the answer is always some HR bullshit about how it's against policy to grant big raises unless your title is changing significantly. Reward the new hires and give crumbs to the employees who have proven themselves to be valuable. Of course, all the manager positions belong to boomers who have been there forever and refuse to retire so good luck getting a promotion to management, and naturally most of them don't have college degrees but they won't even take a second look at your resume if you don't have a degree. Then the boomer managers have the nerve to whine about how much employee turnover they have after 2-3 years. I don't want to change companies but it's looking like I'll have to if I ever want a raise that outpaces inflation.
And it's only going to get originally worse
Almost four months since the last time i talked to them, deleted all social medias i had because of work, i've found another work though.
Flying under the radar is a odd feeling, i saw them today and they did not recognized me, sometimes i miss them, good fellas
>New manager pops in and asks what time I finish, says he wants to "catch up" before then
>20 minutes after I should be gone he still hasn't shown up
I left, he'd better not get on my case tomorrow.
That reminds me of one more thing I forgot to bitch about. Most of the boomers are vested in the company's pension plan, which has since been phased out (the boomers are grandfathered in but nobody else can join). That means when they retire the company will be paying for it, which is taking money out of the benefits/compensation provided for younger workers. We still get a 6% 401k match, but that's nothing compared to a company pension. Can't wait to get fucked in both the private sector and the public sector (higher taxes to fund Medicare/Social Security after boomers suck it dry) to pay for boomers to retire since they didn't save enough or have enough kids and apparently didn't steal enough wealth from younger generations so they have to shit on us one more time on their way out the door.
>having coworkers
I've been a NEET for 6 years and can't even imagine what my life was like before this.
