I told my friend about him like two years ago because Jow Forums was shilling him and I watched a few lectures which I thought were good, but since then it became crystal clear what his agenda is. My friend has since been exhibiting a cultist like behavior, changing his habits according to Peterson's teachings, and he won't stop shilling his videos to me and telling me how waking up after exactly 7 hours of sleep and making his job and his uni work the most important part of his day changed his life.
I get that he helps many early 20s males who grew up with single moms, but overall he converts them to a very subverted mindset. First of all that whoever criticises capitalism is a marxist and a failed individual, and the only reason anyone would ever criticise it is because they failed in the social hierarchy. And secondly that only individuals matter and the only reason anyone could ever have for embracing and preserving their heritage is that they're bitter and they want to take credit for other people's accomplishments. My friend is very much aware of the differences between races on average, and he doesn't deny the fact that europe is the real cradle of civilisation and the most culture rich place on Earth, but he unironically believes that since only individuals matter you could replace every single european with an african and things would remain the same, and those africans would keep achieving great things and carry on the legacy of all europeans who came before them. He also said he doesn't care about his bloodline because he wasn't personally part of his ancestors' achievements, so it doesn't matter. I blame Peterson for instilling this idea that just because you can find outliers and atypical individuals in every group you should always assume absolutely nothing about an individual, and pretend that everyone you see on the street has the exact same chance of being a genius or a dumbass, regardless of race, education and appearance.
