Though Hitler himself may have been on a political level, the more fanatical circles within the movement were Volkisch Neo-pagan. Read up on the writings of Alfred Rosenberg and the Thule Society. Heinrich Himmler was especially devout in Aryan racial mysticism. The mantra of blood and soil was entirely non-christian.
