I dont think its been prevalent from 2010. I know for sure i havent seen any in the last 8 or so years but back when I started on /b/ it was a regular occurrence. Amazing how fast you become immune to it though to be honest

It was illegal to post cp but still very haphazardly moderated especially on /b/. I could say moderation tolerated it to a small extent. They would usually start threads late at night when moderators were "asleep" and then they get deleted in the morning. It was a different time, nobody really cared and at the end of the day it was all light hearted pedobear jokes.
Looking back I might honestly say that tolerating it to such degree was a mistake. Lolicon is fine whatever but actual cp is indeed harmful to children involved. Tolerating postings of it was just moral laziness on our part.
