Careful, ticks' feeding tubes have little threads on them, kinda like screws. If you gently rotate the tick in the right direction, it will come out without any pulling required. Most ticks should be rotated counter-clockwise, but some kinds of ticks such as deer ticks have threads going in the opposite direction, and as such need to be rotated clockwise.
