I don't know. Other parts of the Bible have angels showing people things via visions, but no other parts have or even imply television, so I'm going to assume they were trying to make sense on some level instead of playing "gotcha!" with the future.

That's not what I meant. I meant that God could see into the future and he helped prove his word, the Bible, true by telling us about everyone seeing the bodies in it (the Bible).

The second passage you quoted says that this figure will be the King of Israel, which Jesus wasn't, by his own admission ("those are your words not mine."). This is actually one of the main reasons that the Jews reject Jesus as Messiah. Another one is that he failed to usher in the era of peace on earth that was supposed to come after the end times.
