It's about a dude who goes to his friend who's training to be a therapist, in order to help him get rid of this hallucination he's having (some gangster that keeps telling him to kill a guy). The thing is, the hallucination is a real thing, a ghost that only the dude can see.
It's dumb but it's also the most complex short I've done thus far, and I'm actually really excited to see how it turns out.

You definitely need a camera or stabilizer, and what you have in your head doesn't come across as organic on the screen. I don't even get what was going on in the second one, if I'm honest.
Try to get some better establishing shots, the hammer just appearing and touching a finger was jarring. You could have instead shown him holding the hammer when he stood up to follow him. And the shot with the stabbing was awkward, you don't need to be close to show details like him grabbing it. Rather, you can have him react to it. If you used a wide angle shot there you could have used a reaction from the black guy showing him try to break away before being pulled in and hit (again, doesn't need a close shot, it doesn't feel intimate but it does feel awkward).
An easy angle is over-the-shoulder if you want some more intimate shots. It's good for dialogue, you don't need face close ups when your actors are either hammy or when their expressions aren't adding much. Body language can tell more than a face in a less awkward way most of the time.
I say all this but I haven't done film studies in years and haven't directed shit, but still. Good effort though, I would suggest writing things with a little more nuance and that don't feel unnatural or too tropey (like reaching a hand out when he was down). My issues with the first one are just acting related, you established scenes pretty well.
I'll sub to you, I love seeing progress of people doing anything like this.

God fuckin' bless you man, I really appreciate that. Your problems with this are the same as mine, I HATE the acting in the first one (I already hate the acting in the third based on my current footage), and the second was so rushed as to be entirely illegible (which you've pointed out already). There's like three pages involving the Mafia that I just had to cut entirely from that as a full re-write.
Watching the footage of the most recent short, I'm sure I'm gonna have my own set of problems with it (I really need to start making shot lists, I can't keep coming up with new shot ideas on the fly) but I really do appreciate all you've said here. Thanks for the sub.
