I love the game. Starting a second play after clearing everything up. Getting all the beads. Demon of hatred seemed like a dark souls boss to just give it a nod to DS boys. The worst thing about the game is that most of your mates probably stopped playing at the chained ogre or shinobi hunter like faggots. Thought they were gamers baka

How does the combat work exactly?

Everything in the game has a posture bar that fills up when their attacks have been blocked/parried. Any damage dealt through that bar is fairly small, but damage to the HP slows the recovery of the posture bar. When the posture bar is filled, the enemy is staggered for a deadly attack that empties the HP bar (some enemies have multiple bars).
The general idea of combat for the player is to keep pressure on the enemy by forcing them to guard your attacks without them parrying you (which will fill your posture bar), while also parrying their attacks. You can get a lot of tools with upgradeable effects to help you, things that stagger with a heavy hit, stun with firecrackers, pull enemies in, poison them with flurries, etc.
There is also a stealth element so you can clear enemies out slowly if you want to, and can ambush harder enemies to remove a whole bar of HP without breaking their posture.
Where Souls games are slow and more about positioning and dodging, and Bloodborne was faster, Sekiro takes the parry elements of them both and integrates it in to combat as an essential mechanic, not an optional one. It's also faster than BB, and has no stamina management.
