Why not just use seperate websites instead of "subreddits"? It turns out there is actually zero good reason NOT to do this. Reddit is filled with shit normies and the community hasn't been filled with non-normies for like... a decade. The admins are shit who piss their pants every time somebody writes a news story about them, ban another sub, and then changes their algorithm to display nothing but stories of proud women of color resisting drumpf. Reddit has a bunch of communities you can really not find elsewhere but if there is ANY alternative to Reddit you should always jump ship. The web will move back to decentralisation and away from massive social media monoliths just because the megasites are too big of a target for normies to effectively get butthurt about.

There are some subreddits where certain types of people are not even allowed to post. On r/Trufemcels, any post by a man is immediately removed, even civil comments. They will even look at your post history to figure out if you are a man or not.

The main other reason I don't go to Reddit is because they do this circlejerk thing where they suck each other's dicks back to back in long comment chains. That shit is cringey as fuck...

Not because I was interested in their discourse or content, but because of sheer cyclejerkly retardation in them.
I was interested in not even "car crash" or "turtles fucking" kind of way, it was "a community of people living in a building made entirely out of shit" kind of way.
It IS disgusting and people inside ARE retarded, but the sheer magnitude of it and the fact that people inside have no problems in living and interacting like that captivated me.
