To give an example I have had two girlfriends who were gym rats. After years of hard work they looked just ok. All those fitness girls on Instagram were already hot before they started posting clips of their "workouts" to promote a leggings brand. Then some poor plain Jane sees them and thinks she can look just like that if she works out hard, 90% of them give up and end up being depressed, 9% persist and look like a manly monstrosity, and 1% actually have the genetic potential and end up becoming hot. You don't hear about the 90% that fail, you only hear about the 1% that succeed, survival bias is how the gym = hot girl meme is perpetuated.

A lot of people (not only girls) go a lot to the gym but suck at it and are not ddisciplined.

No amount of hard work and discipline can change a girl's hip to waist ratio. No matter how much cardio she does, she can't choose which part of her body stores or loses fat.

Now I'm not saying it's completely pointless to excersize, in some cases it can be helpful. For example if a girl is overweight diet and cardio can reveal her genetic potential, she might end up hot. It's rare though, and the girls who are disciplined and follow your "no pain no gain" meme will just end looking manly and muscled up instead of attractive and feminine unless they are born with the right genetics.

But I still excercise because I like the energy it gives me and the ability to participate in physical activities without the struggle a person like me would have otherwise. If I had tried to excercise for vanity, I would've quit long ago.

as a girl: go to like 15 to 18 percent bodyfat, go running and do NORMAL sqauts with medium weight (your bodyweight or a little under) for like 15 to 20 reps for 5 to 8 sets.
also do some ab workout at home (30 crunches dayly, 15 in the morning 15 in the evening) and some lower back execise.
as long as you are young and eat clen you should look great.

I would argue that fitness is more beneficial for women than it is for men.
It helps against cellulite, can remove backpain, she'll stay youthful for longer and it gives them a little more testosterone which among other benefits raises their libido and the energy they have throughout the day.

Exercise is less important than diet, but that doesn't mean it's not important.

If you're fat, exercise isn't going to help. The only way to be thin is to eat the appropriate amount for your metabolism. Once you're thin, exercise can help make you look better. But if you aren't thin, it's not going to help anything. Not for women at least.

All you can do is lose or gain weight with diet and exercise, but again genetics is what determines which part of your body will lose fat first and which part will keep it until you start getting underweight.
