Ballerina similar to what Reg Park is doing in pic related but with heels together. I do it this way because I have poor ankle mobility and don’t want to take a massive split stance like a dipshit. It’s a bit harder on your knees but it works amazing for quads and calves

If I didn't have anyone spot me or any pins, had I failed, the bar could've trapped me or injured me in some way. The bar wouldn't be able to go all the way back, and the actual squat rack is elevated above the rest of the ground, which is where the plates would be resting.

Hit 425x2 @150 6mo ago but I've had to work back up from 365 to 405 (currently) at 145, work took a toll on me. Its strange though, most people can only do 60% or so for 12 reps, but I can go up to 85% for 12 reps, e.g. 345 x 12. Possibly competitive biker background advantage but IDK.

Lol squatting your bodyweight is a different story from squatting a barbell with weight on it. Effectively your quad only needs to move weight above the knee bone, every ounce of fat on your body exacts a different and significantly smaller moment than the barbell. Assuming you retain all your strength after losing 120lbs of pure fat (inherently impossible) you'd probably only squat 20-40 more lbs, not 120. Weight also moves weight, it will be more difficult out of the ATG position when you aren't as heavy. Nonetheless, your squat is quite impressive and looks easy, and I think you can squat more and encourage you to train more but there is no reason to develop a cognitive dissonance and foment hubris within yourself just to compare to others.

This would only be possible if being fat actually makes squatting easier in some way. Being fat clearly makes squatting more difficult for me, not easier. If you were to get me down to 200 pounds only cutting away my body fat, I guarantee you I would be able to squat an additional 120 lbs. My legs wouldn't have to lift that additional weight that is above my knees.

This is why safety bar squats are more difficult than normal squats at the same weight and high bar back squats are more difficult than low bar and front squats are yet more difficult. Being fat also increases elastic spring from bouncing out of the hole and the increased volume decreases the maximum depth that you need to go to. You can search up any powerlifter/weightlifter that has cut significant weight, their squat goes down SIGNIFICANTLY. Weight moves weight, that's one nuance of weight classes. You are absolutely delusional if you think otherwise.

You lose a bit of muscle when you lose weight, but if I were to magically go down to 10% body-fat, I would definitely be able to squat a bit more. Once again, I can only do a couple dozen reps with body-weight squats, while lean people can do them pretty much infinitely.
