I have canker sores all up my tongue and they've been hurting on and off for weeks. This is driving me insane. I've tried so hard to pop them and everything. I'm getting the urge to Lance them with a thumb tack, should I do it?

Have you tried with a needle?

I don't have a needle. Either way is this going to provide any relief for me?

You can't 'pop' canker sores like you can zits; they're ulcers so you're making them worse.

I don't think there is any way to treat them but you can prevent them by getting your vitamins.
Get yourself some vitamin supplements and some freshly squeezed orange juice or something.

Will it provide any psychological relief though? Theyre driving me insane it's all up my tongue

As well if they're constantly recurring it could be a sign of an underlying problem. Not always, but worth getting checked

Salt it? That's my method.

Go to the doctor or pharmacist and ask for lidocaine oromucosal spray or benzydamine mouthwash.

Sorry about the bad photo but this is fucking horrible

You can get medication that stops the pain quite quickly; in the long run consider vitamin supplements.

I'm sure glad we have some smartfags amongst us.

wash out your mouth with saline then rub baking soda into them. Do this when ever they hurt.

Drink some ice cold coke, it will make them better. Its what I do, I basically need coke to eat when i have those things in my mouth.

My brother has tons of those as well. Try using a toothpaste that doesnt produce much "foam" in your mouth. Appearently that helps preventing them.

Vagina mouth

rinse w/salt water regularly, brush 2x a day
No sugars at all,
Use Bonjela or something similar to soothe and reduce swelling. Don't poke them or anything, the mouth naturally has enough bacteria so it will just infect and get worse.

OP what does your diet consist of?

mostly frozen meals

Don't poke them. Floss between all your teeth and even behind your back molars. Spend 5 minutes 3 times a day brushing with sensodyne or other pro-health toothpastes, and cover all parts of your mouth with the brush. Use Listerine mouth rinse after brushing, twice per day, for a minute and thirty seconds. Use the last thirty seconds to gurgle the mouthwash in your throat like the aspiring little cumdumpster you are.

Canker sores pop up for a variety of reasons, most commonly dental hygeine or overly acidic diet. Try eating more starches and cutting down on things that are acidic. Start googling things about the foods you're eating. It does make a difference.

FUCK don't try to "pop" them. There is nothing to pop. Canker sores don't work that way at all. When they are blistered out there is nothing you can do except wait for them to heal. Rinse your mouth out with salt water and use Listerine or something similar and remember to brush your teeth even if it hurts. I had 100 hundred of these little bastards in my mouth at once when I was on vacation and it was fucking hell, took 10 days to go away.

>should I do it?
They're not blisters or zits, you can't fucking pop them, you absolute fucking mouthbreather.

Nice to see R9K adressing the issue. I'm having the same issue, but it's on the inside of my mouth, by my lower front teeth. Just make sure to brush often and use mouthwash. But don't expect that to clear it within a day.

Just use some Listerine. It will make it go away in a day. After that make sure you brush your teeth at least once a day, and this will never come back.

I get them from time to time. Normally the change in weather makes them appear. I use Listerine like 5 times a day and before each meal, I put this numbing ointment on it so it does not burn. Then after a meal, I brush my teeth and rinse my mouth. Bad ones last about a week. Do not pop them because it will reopen the ulcer and might make it spread. Avoid salty and acidic foods and drinks because this will cause irritation and break down any skin growing over it. If they are persistent you might have HIV, but considering this is Jow Forums I find that unlikely.

Dont do it
Just get yourself a nice mouthwash and use that shit every morning and every night
I got rid of that shit in a matter of days

I get them only when I eat crisps.

You don't lance canker sores you fucking brainlet
Dry the area with a paper towel or something then apply salt to it. It'll sting like a bitch, but you have to hold it there for about a minute. Rinse the salt out afterwards and repeat the process twice a day.

My grandmom makes a home remedy of salt baking soda and lemon juice. You mix it into a paste and apply it twice a day. It is the worst pain but it gets the job done faster than letting it heal by its self.

>stop eating sugary food
>use sensodyne toothpaste (no sulfates)
>diet soda or no soda
>brush + floss

keep your mouth clean

Rinse with salty water and all kinds of mouthwash. Like peroxide mouthwash. Also find this gel called Flagyl or some generic of it with the same active ingredient(Metronidazole) it cures shit like this in few hours.

That literally means you are not cleaning your mouth correctly or youre not cleaning your mouth at all.

it can also mean you have some mineral unbalance in your saliva, perhaps you dont drink as much water or you have only drinking sodas for a long period of time.

All of the things the other anons mentioned, can help you: the salt water, floss, saline, mouthwashes. They can help momentarily but of course if you dont continue to clean your mouth correctly, they will keep appearing and will potentially get worse. They can even appear inside your throat and that, user, is a pain you want to avoid.

Clean your fucking mouth

Spicy foods will do it as well.

>They can even appear inside your throat and that, user, is a pain you want to avoid.
God, that reminds me. Easily the worst pain I've ever experienced. Even drinking water hurt like hell.
