How many of you boys started off barely able to lift the bar? H-how embarrassing, haha...
How many of you boys started off barely able to lift the bar? H-how embarrassing, haha
how many of you boys lied about your lift, after 1 year of lifting ?
tfw can't bench 80kg / 176 lbs after 1 year of lifting, mog you away.
For what lift?
When I started I could not OHP the bar.
This gives me hope. How's your OHP now?
started at 1pl8 bench
70lb OHP
1pl8 dead
I wonder what eddie hall lifted on his first go. No wait I don't give a fuck and neither does anyone else
Literally no one cares just focus on form first
What do if cant squat bar and fall down?
Yours Truly,
Chicken Legs
Lifting heavy is a meme.
10 pounds on each side
Started at 55lbs OHP, currently at 145 for reps after 1.5 years. It’s all about eating a lot and trying to push yourself as hard as possible at the gym
almost 60kg
started out with:
115lbs*4 bench
50*6 ohp
135*3 squat
135*5 dead (too scared to go heavier at the time)
Now:
145*1 bench
100*2 ohp
245*3 squat
275*1 dead
in about 6 months

OHP I could not do the bar at first, no big deal user.
Me and now I can do the 1/2/3/4 for at least 1 rep.
Just started myself. Went to do Standing Military Press and could only to 2x5 of the bar. We will get there brother.
I couldn't bench 45lb I started 35lb but two months in I'm at 100lb 9reps
Do body weight squats until you can do 30 in a set
Not about where you start, but where you end up
stealing this from somewhere else but...
You're not in the gym to be strong, you're there to get stronger. Just keep going.
lolwut, are you a literal chicken?
I started at 95 bench, 155 dead, and 55 OHP
there is no shame in being weak, only in staying weak.
we all start somewhere.
Nigga post a progression that's easier to follow, like how much weight you can do for 5 reps. This is some scatterbrained shit
I've never lifted consistently but I'm 21 and I can bench two pl8s on the Smith machine like 3 times. (It's what I have at work no hate please) so that felt pretty good.
I could only bench 40kg (counting the bar) when I started. Doing 5x5 and seeing how I could add 2-3kg every week made me feel like Superman. Then I hit a big wall and started doing quarter reps for a looong time, my form was hilarious on every lift specially the squat, they looked more like shrugs than squats lmao
We all start with the bar. That being said there is no shame in being weak when you start. Only staying there. You will get stronger.
I started roughly six years ago and now I squat 500 deadly 550 and bench 350. Most people are lying to you about how fast they progress.
You have to start somewhere, user. You're never gonna make it if you expect instant rewards.
