Tfw fell for the chicken thigh meme

>tfw fell for the chicken thigh meme
>buy chicken thighs because Jow Forums told me they were a shortcut to easy gains and protein
>open them up and realize that 70% of the actual thigh is fat from the thicken
>thighs take forever to cook because the heat has to penetrate through that fat
Has Jow Forums ever memed you into buying something retarded?

the fuck are you talking about

TIDF detected

Don't feel bad user Jow Forums got me to blow 1/4 of a pay check on some useless chuck e cheese token that ended up dropping in value by 80% after I purchased it. At least you got the satisfaction of eating your meme.

cut the meat off the bone before you cook them you retard.

You're not supposed to buy whole thighs you fuckin dork.
Get them boneless and skinless like you would breasts, that way it takes like 3 extra minutes to trim most of the fat from a package of thighs.
>heat can't penetrate through fat
Heat melts it faster than it cooks the mean tissue, what are you even talking about? Are you new to cooking?

>what's trimming the meat?

Haha I'm probably the gut who memed you.

I'm finishing mine up right now, flipped em over and I'm broiling em so the bottom is crispy too.

Fat is delicious and high test

*guy

>DUDE, WHY DON'T YOU KNOW THE INS AND OUTS OF COOKING? DIDN'T YOU GO TO CULINARY SCHOOL FOR 2 YEARS LIKE ME LMAO

That's why you buy boneless skinless. And they cook faster not sure what you're on about.

The fat content in thighs are fine just fit it into your macros or trim it. I don't know what the fuck of thighs you're buying for them to be more fat than meat. I recommend putting the whole thighs you have now in the slow cooker or braise them in a pot, make a stew or curry or something, and pull the bones out.

>dude why don't you know basic information that you can find if you ever fed yourself or performed an internet search?

lol nice bag nerd

>buys meat
>"t-there's no directions on the box. what do i doo??"

>just crack eggs and pour them on the pan?
>why didn't anyone tell me i need to turn on the heat
>i didn't go to culinary school for 2 years how am i supposed to know that

you're supposed to get the boneless ones

I get the boneless skinless ones. They cost less than breard and taste way better. Juicy as fuck, tons of flavor. Almost on par with steak for me when cooked well.

i marinate and usually do 350F for 60 min
crispy outside and very easy to cut off the bone
if cooking in batch mode, bone broth afterward is an option for even higher nutrition per cost

Thighs are for the slowcooker you dunce

/sci/ told me with a PhD in math I’d make 300k starting.

Buy the whole chicken and carve it yourself to not only save money but you get better value out of it too if you actually use the whole carcass.

only worth if giblets included

You are a retard with no taste, OP.
I could literally eat one million chicken thighs. Bone in thighs are god tier. Put some salt and garlic under the skin and more on top. Add other seasonings and lemon juice. Bake until crispy.
Eat and try not to jizz your pants.

You can make beer can chicken.

Here's your (you) you retarded faggot

I know you are just trying to get (You)s but chicken thighs take like an hour.

I got a ThinkPad X200 and a BeagleBone Black to libreboot it just because of Jow Forums. I also got memed into using tiling wm's.

is """bone broth""" just homemade stock? if so I thought that was the point of buying thighs

just buy chicken breast and crock pot that shit son

>god tier
>drench in seasoning to make it palatable
pick one faggot face

yeah, pretty much, where stock might commonly be from the unused portion of a whole chicken, bone broth is a lot more bone and needs more cooking time.

Stop being a IIFYMtard, fat is where all the nutrients are. If the chicken is good quality (not the frozen supermarket crap gymrats usually buy) then thigh is a really good cut, it is not quite a complete food but is very good for chicken muscle meat. Way better than breast or wing.

>Get them boneless and skinless
op is trying to save money they charge more if you buy it like that

Thighs are a fucking hassle. Get breast, cut off the tenderloin, use a sharp knife to cut off the outermost fatty layer. Lightly salt & oil and fry for 4-5 mins on each side (don't forget to fry the edges for 30 seconds or so).

If you have a pet cook the tenderloin and give it to them. Otherwise just throw it away.
