first off, it's an entirely different stimulus system, so you're never actually going to smell anything. So, no, having stinky armpits doesn't boost or inhibit pheromones.

Once your body detects the scent of a woman nearby, it can usually basically determine how attractive you find her. Even if it's a girl that isn't particularly a 10/10. Let's say you meet a 5/10 and a 7/10. You might find you're more attracted to the 5/10 for some reason, and gravitate towards her more - this is because her body is sending responses, while the 7/10's body isn't.

What do I mean by gravitate? Well, again, it's incredibly subconscious, so it's somewhat hard to explain.
