don't try to impress anyone but yourself, everyone is at a different level

Can you curl over and suck your own dick? That'd be impressive.

Impressive. Paul allen, show us your dumbell

I seen Bjornsson does hammer curls with 85s so i'd say thats decent breh. If you want standards to compare your curl strength to you should train to put up a 1rm on strict ez bar wall curl, theres comps which provide lots of data to compare yourself to.

I can 1RM a 50lb db with strict form last I tried and I haven't really plateaued yet.
Barbell I can get about +10lbs on usually (seem easier)

Hemsworth/Thor can only barbell curl 70-90lbs (35-45 per arm) apparently.

So I'd have to say 50lb is impressive to me.

Once again...assuming strict curl.
I've seen guys at gym just cheat curl or momentum swing the weight up. I never see them do proper curls or incline curls.

I've seen monsters at gym that curl 80s though. These are the same guys doing weighted chinups usually.

Intermediate level according to..... strengthlevel.com/strength-standards/dumbbell-curl/lb

honestly a good benchmark for impressive strength is around half the world record in every lift.

>550 squat
>350 bench
>200 OHP
>550 DL

underrated

Yeah.

Honestly, been trying to grow lats with pullups and then change grip to neutral grip chinup.
I'm dropping pullups in favor of sitting rows and bent over rows.

Once I do.pullups instead, bicep size strength will grow more from volume they are getting.

I hope to get to 70lb curl by end of year.

Fuck autocorrect*

Dropping pullups for chinups =s will work biceps more.

yea i'd agree assuming youre at least 180 those numbers seem pretty obtainable for an advanced lifter

>Equal squat and DL
I know they're not as far apart as Jow Forums likes to say (1/2/3/4 puts the squat at 78% of the deadlift while it's more like 87%) but a 1:1 squat to deadlift seems wrong

Is it making your arms grow and preventing your elbows from disintegrating when you do heavy pressing movements? Then don’t worry about it.

thanks but I can curl 50lb for 3 sets of 10 and am a skeleton, it's just not worth making a thread about it as I don't think it's some impressive number

Yea that's pretty good.

Weak guy posting.
I can only curl 17.5lb dumbbells (3 sets of 12) and I started lifting in January.
Laughable for you guys, but this is my reality and I'm cool with it for now.

Nice larp bud

Not unless you’re a 7’ skellington

Sperg ratios, based on 2plet press: 2/3.33/4.61/5.33

fuck off

>t. the "post body" poster that never post his body

Curling is less about the weight itself (although it is still important) and more about form and frequency. What I do is that I'll curl the same weight until the weight did nothing to my gains (and I myself feel nothing when I do curls. No burns, no sore, nothing but just being tired)

50 with form is pretty good unless you're a bloatlord

I curl one of those in each hand with good form, motionless back; I weigh 140lbs.
come at me.

I can curl 60lb with good form for sets of fahv and don't even curl at the gym, just lift rocks after the gym.

squat is actually supposed to be stronger
theres plenty of people squatting 500 kilos but only 1 deadlifted it

stop theoryposting nerds

it is to me I can only curl 35s although the only bicep heavy stuff I do is rows and pullups

if only lifting records were public knowledge available online

why would you even post this? a 12 year old could do this in perfect form without any prior training, yet this is all you can do since January? not trying to sound like some asshole on a basketweaving forum, but your form is WRONG if this is all you are capable of after 9 fucking months of training.

the fuck? i started early august and i started at 15 lbs curls (12x3), now i do 24 lbs (12x3 also)
wtf are you doing wrong? did you start at 0.2 lbs?

>Hemsworth/Thor can only barbell curl 70-90lbs (35-45 per arm) apparently.
how do you know he didnt do that for 20 reps

you goofballs dont know that in order to get big biceps you dont need to be with training heavy weights. Its about control and working the muscle through muscle mind control, feel it contracting, once you start the feel the muscle you will curl less weight but the pumps will be better and you will get more growth

cope

For some reason, at the world class level, there are people who can squat more than they can deadlift. I assume it’s because they have extreme stretch reflex out of the bottom, and one can “cheat” the lift with more dynamic form. Deadlift doesn’t give you anything to work with, starting with 100% of the load. I also think the CNS is limiting us due to the inability to maintain the grip, even though straps are in use on the heaviest lifts.

Normal people don’t have that problem (skill), though.
