Should I start bulking? I've lost 10lbs since starting in June and my arms got bigger but I want more.

I have a bit of a similar thing going with my shoulders but not as extreme, I think. My right shoulder is a little lower, the right trapezius muscle a bit less developed and my neck has a tendency to the right. Anyone know what this is and how I can fix it?

Don’t bulk just lift and eat at maitenance. Jow Forums greatly exaggerates how much of a surplus you need to put on muscle and chances are you’ll increase your caloric intake in response to training (and you already have, your arms didn’t get bigger out of nowhere). You’re skinny fat now and will continue to be so with a bulk
Pic related it’s me. I bulked to 180 and put on a lot of fat for no reason. I look bigger 15 lbs lighter now than I did at 180 (though this is partly because of insertions like my massive forearms and shoulders compared to arms)

Feeling great. I just started grad school and have finally got my diet/sleep in check. I feel like I’m making better gains now than I ever have before. This is after about 2 months of cutting. Weigh about 188 rn.

Whatup, strawberry dude again.

Bulk is going well. Gains are coming on fast. Repping in the thousand point club now. Repping 1 plate OHP, repping 2 plate bench, and now max squat and deadlift is a little more than 3 and 4 plate.

Glad I started implementing ab workouts last month. Even though I’ve bulked like 5 pounds this month, I can actually see that ab line down the middle for the first time in my life. Even though it doesn’t look like much yet, my abs looked like a melted candle pretty recently. This ab wheel is going to kill me though.

Plan on bulking for the rest of the year, probably to 240. Then I can do a proper cut. Looking forward to a cut for the first time in my life. We’re all gonna make it.

Most of you guys are brain dead and think aesthetics is a number on a scale, completely underestimate how much more important insertions and leanness in. But if you put on a fuck ton of fat you’ll look as good as me right?

How did you get so much shoulder bulk in that small amount of time? Also on losing flank fat/love handles?

Not sure your chest insertions are kind of bad so you might not get as full a chest as me but just keep lifting and eating right. I take creatine and protein powder but no other supps. I’ve been lifting over 5 years but only just over four were consistent. Building muscle takes time

Re chest insertions. The muscles aren’t very close together when they separate and lack uniform fullness. I’d suggest hitting upper chest more and making it your dominant pressing lift instead of flat bench. That being said my chest always looked like this. This is me a few months into lifting at age 15

5'9" and about 150 right now. I feel fat as fuck and have pretty much had the same midsection over the years. I have gotten a bigger upper body though since I've been training it more. Currently trying to bulk and train hard as fuck so I can eventually cut to a decent size. Immediate goal is 170 with an ultimate goal of 190.

Really appreciate the advice, I've been thiking of incline bench for a while now. I primarily do dips and flat bench like you said, and it just hasn't developed the way I'd like.

I did do incline as much as if not more than flat bench in highschool when I made most of my gains and right now I incline twice a week and flat bench once. Switch you’ll get results even if they aren’t as ideal as you like. Also do lat raises as much or more than OHP for capped delts.

Definately bulk and work your shoulders, Im a really big fan of OHP and dumbell shoulder flies in that order

I'm a manlet so I'll get that out of the way first. Just finished 3 months of bulking and sitting around 170lbs rn. Deadlift at 425, squat at 355 and bench hovering around 235.

I have been off and on. I’m headed into week two of consistent lifting and not eating like shit. Initially I’d get DOMS so bad I’d only lifted a couple times a week; now the DOMS has dissipated greatly and I can lift more frequently.

Went to a dietician twice. First reading was 6.7% second was 6.5. How tf am i skinny fat? There is no fat.

Body fat measurements methods are horrible at measuring bodyfat on an individual level. All of them even dexa. The one they use in research is called the four compartment model and it would cost you thousands of dollars to get one. You are nowhere near 6.5%, you are more like 15%. The fat is the fact you aren’t completely shredded with Auschwitz striations on your body at that size. A men’s physique competitor competes at 7-8% bodyfat. You look less fat in this lighting though

Yeah maybe you aren’t actually 15% and you’re 10-12% and just have no muscle. Anyway best thing you can do is just eat and lift. How old are you and how tall?

I eat a lot but my metabolic age is 12 according to the reading. It's easiest to gain weight with lifting, but since i only started 2 weeks ago i'm still 100lbs.

You have shit genes for lifting (no offence) and if you bulk up a ton and forcefeed you will end up putting on a lot fat (which you may desire). Just eat and lift. You put on microscopic amounts of muscle natty lifting even with good genetics. Two weeks isn’t shit, try 6 months. Building a good physique takes years

I know it takes years, but i disagree with shit genetics desu. When i was 16 i was lifting like mad for 3 months and everybody said i looked ripped as fuck. Overall i need about 1 year to get natty ripped (even though i eat mcd 5 days week since i work there).
