What's worse to deal with for you, early baldness or this condition that won't go away with any shampoo or cream?

Genetic dead end

You can fix this, go to a top tier dermatologist

I have psoriasis on my elbows and near my ankle. I'm pretty sure there are lotions that can help you (there are for me anyway), go to a doctor/dermatologist.

I've been to 3 different dermas and they all told me there was little that could help me. I've changed my diet where I dropped food that could have cause this and it helped a little but the problem still persists. I'll keep looking then, thanks.

Wow then that sucks sorry OP

I honestly don't know if there's different kinds of psoriasis but the lotion I use is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calcipotriol/betamethasone_dipropionate.

my sister sadly is too fucked up in all her body with psoriasi, feel sorry for you user hope it gets better

i take bald at 20 over this every day.
sorry OP, i hope you find a way to fix this as soon as possible

>psoriasis petiants
>Talking about diet and lotions
Being that stupid is the leading cause to having to getting your condition worse.
Look up cosentyx

>cosentyx
Doesn't work on me.

Just scalp your head homie, it's over.

Take a fucking shower faggot

Likewise user, I hope your sister finds a solution to her problem soon.
I'm already looking for another derma right now.

What would a low tier derm prescribe vs a top tier one?

treat your scalp with nizoral shampoo

massage the shit in there twice a week and let it sit for half an hour

I get that shit on my face and on my hairline a lot. Especially above my upper lip and near my eyebrows. I just smear some cream on it and it’s gone within 2 days until it flares up again.
How do you get it this bad though? Did it get worse over the years?

Bald AND psoriasis at age 32 here.
fuck my life

>treat your scalp with nizoral shampoo
I tried that already. When I use it the flakes go away temporarily but 15 minutes later they come back stronger. Nizoral does not work for me.

Based retard.

>Unironicaly good choice of actions

Tried tea tree oil yet? I have a very mild case of this and shampooing every other day with agadir shampoo mixed with tea tree oil keeps mine away.

All meat diet.

A good friend of mine had really bad psoriasis. Knees, elbows, arms, back, stomach, you name it. He has absolutely 0 psoriasis now, after doing an elimination diet. It ended up being wheat/grains that caused it. I shit you not 100% remission from removing all grains from his diet.

ketoconazole shampoo 1x every 2 days start with the lowest % see how the plague reacts + hydrocortizone cream will make it better. Avoid direct sunlight, dries up the skin and makes flakiness worse. Cut your shit short, like 0.5 - 1cm long hair for the time of the flareup. Track it for a month at least. Longer than that theres no point cause in about a month you max out on topical reduction.

After a month start doing this the only way to reduce it, it will still flare up randomly though based on sleep, stress, hormones etc. Keep applying ketoconazole and hydrocortisone cream while doing the elimination diet and once you find the culprit you'll be golden in half a year with only mild scars.

i'm on Otzela, OP, it improved it a tad, holding it at bay... ask your doc

Amazing how people want harmful lotions and drugs to mask their health issue instead of fixing the underlying problem.

It's diet.

I woke up from bed because and went to the bathroom to find the bottle just for you OP. I was about to turn off the lights and sleep.

My derma is a goodess, she cured my dermatitis with this. I use it twice a week and I haven't had dandruff again for a year now DON'T EVER USE HEAD& SHOULDERS.

Also she fixed my fucking adult acne with dercutane, honestly if I wasn't so dyel and more confident I'd ask her out, I unironically love her.

Find the equivalent of pic related in your country, use your google fu power full blast, not saying it's gonna work for you because I'm not an MD but it did for me and I was offing myself before this shampoo

doesn't surprise me at all... in history of humanity, grains are relatively new food for us, bound to cause some weird mutations/reactions in some of us

Have you tried shaving your head ?

OP I have the same thing, and it’s run in my family for at least 3 generations. The ONLY thing that works for me is UV light. The sun in the summer or a tanning bed in the winter. I had psoriasis creeping waaay down off of my scalp, and now the only place I have psoriasis is in between one of my toes. (Really hard to get sun there)

Go outside. Like, a lot. Not just a little. I make sure to either spend multiple hours outside or go do a tanning bed session at least once every single week.

yeah, even though it extends past the hairline, clearly shaving your head will heal it... you're a genius

It's cool though, judging by OPs picture sexual selection will take care of it in a couple million years.

Also one more thing. Stress is a major factor for worsening psoriasis. Whenever my grandpa, dad, or myself have had severe psoriasis it’s been due to major stress.

I just want to thank all the anons who posted in this thread with clues or advice on how to treat it. Not gonna lie I've kinda accepted my condition until now because it had persisted for quite awhile, I quit on myself but after seeing this support I'm going to try again.

I'm also dropping all wheat/grains from my diet from now on and I will share my results with you all in the future.

I have a farm tan myself due to all the roofing work I've done in the heat here in texas, as well as always kept my hair short to remove the heavy plaques/flakes that form if I let my hair get too long. But at this point I'm thinking it really is the breads I need to cut. Found a decent doctor on youtube that talks about how this psoriasis is a result of gut bacteria not working properly and its attacking its own immune system.

I had really bad psoriasis when I was 7.
My mom took me to a private clinic operated by some genius dermatologist that supposedly had working treatments for people with epidermolysis bullosa. Not a cure, but something to sort of manage it.
Anyway the first thing was this absolutely brutal diet I had to keep, alongside some intricate topical medication.
It worked like magic, man.
The skin on my knees, elbows, calves, arms and scalp was broken and bleeding and then it just wasn't.
Now I am 30 and I just use a shampoo called Selsun Blue and a cream called Elocom. Names may vary in your country.
I have exactly 4 tiny lesions and my scalp is perfectly fine.
I can give you extra details if you need em.

Do you drink much? Alcohol makes it a lot worse for me as well. Anything you can do to reduce inflammation or the overactive immune response that is responsible for the plaques would be good

I've heatd E45 the moisturiser works on my brother, could give it a try.

You should do meat only for six weeks, then add foods back. Its probably a lot more than just grains.

Also, all meat diets can cure intestinal permeability which could fix your issues for good.

I'm 26 and bald, I also have some minor psoriasis on my forehead in the winter. The lack of sun and the stress makes it worse. My doctor prescribed me some xamiol, it gets rid of my plaques in a few days but the plaques come back if i stop using it.

So i'd advise you to get enough sun, vitamine D and maybe mediate or something to keep the stress low. I also had scalp dermatitis when i had hair, now that i shave my head it's gone. Maybe that could help you too...

Good luck user.

>Anyway the first thing was this absolutely brutal diet I had to keep
Could you go into detail of what this diet of yours consisted of?

I don't drink alcohol user but I'm still leaning towards the diet.

I haven't tried that particular lotion, I'll order it now. Thanks.

I'll investigate more on this user, thanks.

Thanks brotha, wishing you healing for your situation as well. I do have a lot of problems but I feel like I manage my stress fine. Unless stress itself can still damage the body without me realizing it's stress.

Look up anything you can do to lower your cortisol levels. Stress isn’t always something you are acutely aware of mentally, your body could be stressed from many different factors even if you feel like you’re managing it fine. You may have just become accustomed to a certain baseline level of stress

>Could you go into detail of what this diet of yours consisted of?

Yes, of course.
IIRC he called it an attrition diet.
Basically if I walked in a store there was nothing I could eat.
Food was to be eaten as fresh as possible, and cooked without oil.
Meats were limited to very lean fish, beef, and lean hen, so no chicken. Hen may be trickier to come across so if you have friends that have farm animals that'd be great. You would eat these grilled, boiled or steamed, no oil.
Vegetables included potatoes, cabbage, white rice. Steamed was the only allowed way to eat them.
Surprisingly I wasn't allowed egg whites, only the yolk from hard boiled eggs.
The fruits I would eat were apples, oranges and pomegranates.
This was the gist of it. I have the whole diet written at my parent's home so I can't lay it out completely right now.

I would also add that stress was also very important. I was told repeatedly that I needed to keep my stress levels as low as possible and avoid direct sunlight.

As said it it's sometime hard to be aware of the amount of stress you go through.

All my dermo has ever done is pump me full of drugs and slather on lotions, it did get better the more strict i kept my diet... guess i'm going through another round of elimination myself... cheers

That’s really odd that they would tell you to avoid sunlight when UV treatment is one of the most successful methods for handling psoriasis.

Do you wear a hat when you’re working?

I agree it's odd.
I went to see several other dermatologists and there were conflicting instructions between all of them. I guess you just have to stick to a treatment for a few months and see if it works for you.

>You may have just become accustomed to a certain baseline level of stress
Holy shit I think you may be right. You just led me in the right direction by bringing up "cortisol levels" too, it's something I heard about long ago but completely forgot existed. If that's the case then my body really is stressed and I think I'm managing it fine. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks user for your help. You weren't kidding, that is a brutal diet. I'll look into this more myself.

Yeah I'm starting to think stress, even though I think I'm managing it fine, has been taking a toll on my body. I need to realize having an optimistic attitude despite a lot of problems in my environment for the past 12 years can't mask stress alone, I've been fooling myself.

Yeah, my derma's have all treated me as patient #562, always going back for more consultations and never getting anything done. I love how they never mention how diet comes into play and only recommend the drugs they're told to recommend.

kefir

>Thanks user for your help

Good luck user. I know this is a very nasty disease so I'm rooting for you.

dont get me wrong, the otezla is working a bit, but like all meds, it'll only work for so long before it's gonna come back... and the injectables are even worse with side effects... so, if/when this stops working, i'm done with meds =\

Anyone else wanna cum on scarred tissue like that?

this ew

john rose.
see you on the other side friend, god bless.

This is my get out card for saving the white race. I'm about 40 percent covered with psoriasis arms legs and chest. I home gym so I don't even know if I have good form.
Why even live?

I'm going to ask the doc if I can get my tonsils out

>psoriasis.org/advance/could-removing-your-tonsils-help-psoriasis

Something for athlete's foot

user I'M ABOUT TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE: webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-170576/clobetasol-for-the-scalp/details

You need clobetasol, it's the only thing thats going to work. I just use a little whenever I have a flare-up (I have severe) and I'm good for a month or two.

Evolution is dead, long live technology.

Y no use head and shoulders?
I iz a brainlet

read this, its the true answer op

where can I get this? is is prescribed? what on amazon is it under or some shit

Raw carni?

Just try a raw beef and liver diet and this will go away. I'm not memeing just try it. You don't have anything to lose.

It's prescribed, go see a doctor and legit just ask for it.

Tell your sister to switch to a diet consisting of only raw beef, beef liver and fish. It will go away in a couple of months, I promise you no memes just truth.

Safe your self the time and just switch to an all beef, liver, fish diet. You will be healed in one or two months guaranteed.

non-cheating, no sugar alcohol/bullshit keto with better quality meats

I've since changed to targeted keto (need some more carbs before i go to the gym, usually a sweet potato)

thinking about it anyways, i'm just about to start a full elimination diet just to figure my shit out

coal tar shampoo pretty much solved it for me

Hey OP I've got seborrheic dermatitis and I've been able to fix it using MCT oil/coconut oil. They both work but MCT oil is more convenient because it's liquid at room temp.

I put it on my scalp and leave it overnight, then wash it out in the morning. At this point, if I do this every 2 weeks or so I basically have no dandruff or scalyness.

One warning: it may itch a little while the oil is on there. Do not scratch it. The itch will come back even stronger each time you scratch it and then you will be up at 4AM scratching the shit out of your head. Just ignore the initial itch.

Can you film yourself shaving your hair and scraping the dead skin off? Asking for a friend

Diagnosed with psoriasis last year and I wanna try and give some insight.

OP, the thing about psoriasis is that what might work for someone may not work for you. While there are some things that are common between individuals with psoriasis, the treatments seem to be random. The disease has no rhyme or reason and each individual is tasked with finding something that works for them. For example, my psoriasis was awful and I tried an elimination diet to no avail. After I went back to eating my regular diet, the psoriasis cleared up. Nothing else changed, it just decided to fuck off.

You'll hear about everything from elimination diets, sunlight and vitamin D, biologics, reducing stress, leaky gut, dead sea baths, and the list goes on. This disease is typically here for life and if you're lucky it'll stay dormant until your next big break up, close family death, pregnancy or whatever. And btw, 25% of people with psoriasis see it manifest into what is called Psoriatic Arthritis. This shit can cause permanent damage to your joints.

The first line of defense is topical steroids. The strongest one that can be prescribed is called Clobetasol, which has been mentioned in this thread. Don't even fuck around with the lesser strength ones like hydrocortisone. Go to your derm and ask them for it -- it's relatively cheap here in the USA if you buy generic. The stuff is really strong and should only be applied to areas with tough skin (scalp, knees, elbows etc.) but it can definitely make a difference.

Also, the one thing that people aren't mentioning is Biologics. If your psoriasis becomes severe (and it's liable to do so; it can be triggered by an injury, stress, alcohol, OR EVEN PICKING AT YOUR FUCKING SCALP) you might want to look into biologics. The most popular one is Humira but there are new ones being created every year that are becoming more and more effective against psoriasis.

my derma might be having me pop pills but she's trying her best to keep me off biologics.

Those need a lot more consideration, as they do fuck with your immune system, and have a lot more side effects. You'll need to get some blood work to get on any biologic.

If your psoriasis is limited to scalp only, i'd ask about a systemic (i'm on otezla, not sure if any others exist, and if you do get approved for this, make sure you call the company that makes it and ask for their co-pay coverage)

Nigga, post a weekly update. We'll be here for you, I really want to know how you progress.

Also, if you don't have gym partners just post videos of yourself and we'll tell you if your form is right.

Good luck lizarbro

Mine won't prescribe it to me. Dealing with psoriasis is the worst.

my mother used to have it and it completely went away when she moved out of an older apartement.
could have been lead piping

damn...

>And btw, 25% of people with psoriasis see it manifest into what is called Psoriatic Arthritis

wat da fuck. I'm another user, but my father have that type of arthritis. his sister (my aunt) have the Crohn illness (a very fucked up digestive shit). both are the similar family/type of illnes: inflamation/sickness of specific tissues, blood type related too.

and my mother and I, we both have a super light psoriasis. well, prob is not even psoriasis yet, just some atopic skin. like very little skin spots, 1-2 coins size at most. my mother on one eyelid, elbow and 1 glute, and I on my eyelid and T part of the face plus my whole back.

I'm fucking doomed by both sides of my parents. but I'm +30yo and so far so good considering all.
I will never curse my skin again. pls don't grow into a more serious fucked up shit ;_;

i get it pretty badly in winter but summer clears it right up, its actually fairly common where im from (ireland) just glad im in Australian Outback where its sunny constantly

*inhales*
FUCK NIGGERS
FUCK KIKES
AND (most importantly)
FUCK JANNIES

I had both.
Do keto for two weeks. I Can assure you you'll see major improvement. Fungus feeds on carbs

WATCH THIS AND NEVER GO BACK

youtube.com/watch?v=lmfp-Qz8ZvI

Psoriasis is not a fungus it's an autoimmune disease. You're thinking of Seb Derm.

Dunno, maybe you are right. I worked for me as I tried the keto diet. More like a side effect of the diet. It mostly fixed candida as well. I felt like I was reborn
