Im not rly that fat , but i like have no endurance. I play hockey and basically get super tired half way thru a game. So trying to extend endurance

>running
That’s a brisk walk you lardass

>11:30 min mile
oh no no no no

I will never be envious of runners. You are the plankton of the fitness world.

Nk one is going to ask if he is the messiah?
Nigga ran on water.

Im not a runner. Im trying to get in better shape in hockey. That extra step is key sometimes

>2 miles

Is this a warm up for disabled grannies?

>2 milles

come on dude, im on my 8 consecutive year of fighting cancer and even I managed 4.5

I run there all the time...

Check out this retard

You do realize every run shouldn't be a race right? My normal every day easy pace is somewhere between 8:30-9min/mile. My mile time trial is sub 6 somewhere (haven't tested in a while though). I'm willing to bet OP wasn't running very hard, which is the right way to do it when starting out.

>2 miles
>342 calories burnt
holy shit do you weight 300 lbs?

200 , 5’10

In the marines the minimum requirement for a 1.5 is 12 minutes.

Were you skipping the whole time? It are you sub 5'6"? There's no way that time is real

Ya i dont know why im so slow

Just keep it up, it's probably your form. Watch some videos on how to land your feet

Cool, let's see 3 miles next time

Its not always the case dude. Like I ran back home and my pace is similar. I just got back to college and it dropped from 10-11min/mile to 8-8:30min/mile. The difference is that my hometown had many more hills and valley which slowed me down a lot. He could be in a similar spot

any of you having problems with shin splints?

Yeah. Used to get them all the time in rugby and basically played the whole season with them.
>stop running until they heal
Also make sure to stretch. I wish I did in the beginning. Don't stretch before you run. Just do a 10-15 min stretching routine every night

nigger I ran for the first time in years the other day and did five miles in fifty minutes

i stopped for a month and am getting back to running and the pain is coming back, even before i took up running again, i was just jumping rope and felt my right shin aching a bit

Stretch dude. Stretch for 10 mins every night. I can go in detail about the benefits of stretching all day but to cut it short I'll just say that I wish I stretched every day earlier in my life

How old are you

You baby.

did you remember to tape your nipples?

28

Solid idea! Your pace is fine to work up to greater distances slowly. You'll avoid injury and be doing 10 mile runs at 10-11 min miles within six months, no prob, no injury, and your hockey endurance will skyrocket. Probably the easiest thing to dramatically improve your game quickly. Keep it up!

The other day I did 10km (6.2mi) in 45:18, my best mark yet.

Any tips on how to improve it? Here's the km by km breakdown.

ayy boston lesgo

>get back into running last year
>195lbs, 8:30 mile time, weekly mileage about 5
>spend whole year cutting down to 160
>get weekly mileage to 40
>mile time is still only like 7:30

Once I start actually focusing on speed drills it'll drop quick, right? I just want a sub-6 mile.
