>A bowl with meat, rice, beans, cheese, and salsa is only 600-some calories

There's no way this is accurate, right? I'm assuming the portions the workers give you in reality is way higher than the amounts that are accounted for here

if it's just a one-off I wouldn't worry too much about it
if you eat there every single day then it might skew your numbers a tad (but that'd be the least of your concerns...)

>meat (assuming pork)
>rice
>beans
>cheese
>salsa

None of those ingredients are particularly calorie dense besides the cheese, I'd be surprised if it was over 700cal (assuming it's not fucking massive, never been to chipotle so idk)

I've heard chipotle is decently accurate with their calorie counting, so honestly I wouldn't doubt it, maybe a bit more but not enough to make a massive difference unless your having it every day.

So I am planning to have a candy bar at Halloween - not sure if it will be Twix Peanut Butter or a Kit Kat yet, and I still have lots of time to decide
However while in the checkout line I figured I’d just look at the nutrition facts for the regular flavor of Twix for a rough idea and I was fucking shocked:
The king sized packs are 440 Calories - no wonder I was such a fatass for so long, I could eat 2 of those packs a day before I started actually watching what I ate

Recently graduated /fat/ but I still browse for motivation and now I'm actually on a bulk.

Those are some damn good macros with the chicken.

How much weight loss should I aim for each week?

aim for 145-150lbs as ur goal weight, try to lose 2 pounds/a kilo a week.

Well, let's get you to 70kg ASAP and see where to go from there. Eat 1000 calories a day and you'll be 70kg roundabout November 1st.

Alternatively you could eat 1500 a day and be at 70kg right after Christmas.

>1000 calories a day
for a adult male? How the fuck am I supposed to lift on that?

Scale said 170.6, 5.6 lbs from my goal weight.

My brother took me bowling, had me join his team in league, my highest score was 132, his was 204 or something. His total of 3 games nearly doubled mine. League lasts 30 weeks so I have a lot of time to get better.

>Reposting cause my eyesight is going bad.

Is building muscle before losing weight bad?

Does muscle add extra skin as well? Like lets say I build 20 pounds of muscle under the fat I have and then decide to lose weight, I end up with excess skin and have no way to lose it because I can't gain muscle. Does this happen? Should I focus on losing weight while gaining muscle or lose weight first and then gain muscle.

Thanks.

It's possible, just very hard. I did offer an alternative though because I do realize that 1500 is much more doable. If you're actively lifting and exercising you'll finish earlier than those, but my numbers are based on you working in an office and then going home to shitpost on Jow Forums.

I'm gonna make it bros

Attached: 1454810773298.jpg (580x524, 56K)

You could also fast until October 7th, but that's probably hard.

I'm mostly sit around, but I'm not entirely sedentary. I spend nearly an hour walking to school and back, plus working out 3 times a week heavy and one lighter work out

just fuck my sleep schedule up

bright side, it'll be dinner time as soon as I wake up.

Then you'll be fine m8. Go with whichever works for you. I wasn't actually accusing you of being a lazy shit, but it's the assumption you should make when trying to lose weight because it means that any actual exercise you do goes entirely towards reaching your goals faster, and it means that if you want to just sit around you're not punished for it with slower progress.

The goal isn't to lose weight, it's to lose fat. Muscles are part of your weight, but they're not the problem. The problem is that too much of your weight is fat.
The idea is to lose fat mass while gaining muscle mass. If you do a caloric deficit and lose weight, you will naturally lose both. However, if you are lifting, you ought to gain muscle mass at the same rate you lost it, so you'll break even on muscle mass and lose fat.
>can't gain muscle
Why not?

I'm 5'8" at 175 and still want to cut down to at least 160

I meant that its harder to gain muscle if you have a lot of muscle already.

My question was because I read that to fix excess skin, you need to gain muscle, so I'm scared of stretching my skin with both muscle and fat before I lose weight.

I'm wondering if losing weight first and gaining muscle second is better than doing both at the same time.

If you have a substantial amount of muscle then you can be lean at that weight. Otherwise, you'd still be slightly overweight. You could try to get a bit below that and then start lifting, unless you already lift in which case just get around there and focus on building muscle

Attached: 552432.jpg (329x427, 51K)

if i take a preworkout/energy drink when im fasting does it ruin the fast

Attached: 1544586461422.jpg (1920x796, 242K)

just your neurosis

>I meant that its harder to gain muscle if you have a lot of muscle already.
literally never heard of this
>My question was because I read that to fix excess skin, you need to gain muscle
Depends on how long you've been fat for, really
>so I'm scared of stretching my skin with both muscle and fat before I lose weight.
Did you not read the part about gaining muscle at the same rate you lose it? It's literally a net change of 0.
>I'm wondering if losing weight first and gaining muscle second is better than doing both at the same time.
It's literally easier to do both. Just eat less and lift more.

5'6 male 165lbs 3 weeks ago. Did keto for 3 weeks weighed in at 144 this morning. Broke keto earlier today and had a bowl of cereal for lunch and pb&j sandwhich for dinner, just weighed in at 148 ... did I goof bros?

Ok

I guess. When I was piling on the fat I knew 100% that I should stop and it was going to kill me, no amount of others or myself telling myself too made me stop and listen so I shouldn't be surprised. It sucks though.

Should I cut back progression on my lifts If I'm doing a heavy cut? Thinking of alternating squats and deadlifts on SS instead of doing them on the same day and doing front squats/rdls as a secondary exercise each day instead

>enjoying running every morning
>dont have time to lift if i run
what do

Lift

>Broke keto earlier today and had a bowl of cereal for lunch and pb&j sandwhich for dinner
why even bother breaking keto for that?

Felt a level of fatigue and tiredness I never felt before. Plus I had no homemade meals with me and I was at work. Went with the healthiest possible option at the time and had cereal.

Weight's been trending down for a few months now, only just started thinking about taking it more seriously though. Probably will get a gym membership soon, but what are some good bodyweight exercises? Been doing pushups for about a fortnight and it's amazing how quickly my form has improved.

That explains it, thought you might have been craving some babby sugar cereal or some shit

is it possible to half-ass keto and still lose weight?
like instead of 50g of carbs per day you do like 150g?

Should I binge today
I had the flu for three days and I barely ate

Anyways, debating on whether or not I want to continue keto. I'm pretty much at my target weight 140-149, only problem is I'm still fat lul, just lighter. Don't really like to eat any food on keto so I'll settle for a burger/cheese/bacon with no buns and a protein shake before bed. Only problem is this leaves me with little energy for my workouts, while I can workout much more with carbs, but I'll burn fat at a slower weight lol. What would you recommend?

No. No matter the circumstances. Doesn't matter though, you'll binge regardless because you've already made the cowardly decision in your mind.

Keto is 0-20 carbs per day. Any more than 20 and you aren't doing keto.

The video in question

I know my body isn't going into ketosis, but can I still lose weight by limiting my carb intake and focusing on fat instead?

>Keep cheating on diet every time I start one
How to stop this?

Not too sure. I am still new to this considering that I only started 3 weeks ago. I imagine cutting carbs would always help you lose weight, but if you aren't in ketosis idk if increasing your fat intake would help. But like I said, I'm just a retard so I'd wait for someone more knowledgeable to respond.

What are you eating when you diet?

I just like popcorn too much m8
I've cut carbs out of nearly the entirety of the rest of my diet (wife keeps trying to get me to eat rice dishes though)

Stop going on a diet, and change your mindset. You're not going to go on a diet, drop your weight and return to eating cheese and tendies. Its a lifestyle change.

Don't do meme diets. You're eating healthy from now on and thats never going to change. You need to learn that food keeps you alive and can be the odd treat, its not the source of your happiness. If you can't get over that, you're never going to make it. There is a very good reason why diets are laughed at, and why they so rarely work.

Let's to buddehs we're gonna make it

Attached: 1567446402938.png (720x694, 181K)

Yeah it's really just the ratio that matters, if you're eating 150g of carbs you're going to have to eat 200g+ of fat each day to stay in ketosis

Attached: 1535240040660.png (657x539, 46K)

the fact that you think that's what I was saying just shows you're the true brainlet m8

>5'11
>320lbs
>week 2
Am I going to make it bros? I am starting to crave carbs

found a really great thing.
you know how your body turns calories into fat and you get undesirable excess fat if you eat too much?
and you know how eating is physically pleasurable and you can overeat to extremity in a relatively short amount of time just because you're impulsive and maybe upset emotionally?

well if you do that and immediately regret it, you can PHYSICALLY REMOVE THE FOOD FROM YOUR BODY before it begins to digest! all you need is a toothbrush to agitate your gag reflex and coax it out of there.

No! Don't do it! You have so much to lift for!

Understand you need to learn to reflexively keep track of your calorie intake. You have to be super anal and record everything but at least keep mental track of all youve eaten that day and the ballpark the calories you consumed.

You're gonna have to do it the rest of your life if you don't want to balloon back up after you lose weight

Been cheating the past two weeks. Haven't gone up at all but that's a potential 2 kilo loss down the drain. I'm at a point where I've been at this for so long that I have to finish what I started and fully fix myself. I have no regrets, this is the only path.

Really? I heard that you should aim for 1lb/500g a week, which is around where I'm at

Those, quite frankly, are rookie numbers. Those are the numbers meant for forty year old housewives. You can very comfortably lose double that even at lower weights. At higher weights, you can lose triple and beyond without causing any negative effect to your body.

While still lifting heavy?

While it's true those are rookie numbers, it serves the purpose of forming habits. If most fatties had the willpower to immediately got 1000 or more calories and eat healthy, they wouldn't have been fat in the first place, and I'm including myself in this because donuts are still my kryptonite, 90 pounds later. If you yourself have the willpower to cut harder than 500 calories and keep it up, then by all means do so and keep on truckin. I personally can't push it much further than 500, but at the same time, I've used the longer time it took me to cut alot of bad shit out of my diet and find healthier, enjoyable alternatives. Donuts aside.

Yeah post nudes

Dude I'm not lying.
Straight up a literal fucking P O U N D of Boar's Head turkey breast is under 500 calories.

Completely fucking serious you can literally eat three pounds of Boar's Head roasted turkey and be under 1500calories a day.

If you think a little bowl of meat, rice, beans, cheese and salsa being ~600 is unrealistic you gotta consider the fact that calories are actually not that abundant in good food and that's why soda and shit is so bad. It's so dense in calories vs actual food it's ridiculous.

Like would you rather be able to eat 3lbs of turkey a day or drink a bottle of coke? Meat is great.

How much coke is 500 calories?
