I've been doing some research on my own but couldn't find a shop that would bring the subtotal under 1500€ with a questionable bar and rack

I got bodypower plates and a mirafit rack on amazon. Plates are good, rack is pretty good for the price. Splurged on a nice barbell.

This. Going through Craigslist or Gumtree (UK) is like going through broken dreams - all those pristine home gyms that were bought with such high hopes and which now lie festering and unused. Many such cases.

Never had any luck with this in the UK. Always grimy 5 ft standard barbells and 20kg of 2.5kg plates with nasty benches

I started SL 5x5 last month but I'm running out of room on the barbell now with 10kg plates. Need to find cheap 20kg or higher but Craigslist just doesn't have any ever.
Yeah, Gumtree only really has low weight fixed dumbells used by fat old boomer women for one day.

These plates? Saw them myself but thought they were some off brand garbage with big variations between the claimed weight and the actual weight, is this the case? Cause if not these plates alone will save me a couple hundred euros

I got ones that look like this. Never weighed them because I don't need to open pandora's box for a home gym. They are consistent and approximately the right weights, fair finish if chipped fairly easily. Milled fine.

maybe you live in the south, i always look on gumtree and find amazing deals on power racks and weights. would definitely snap one up if i had the space.
was a guy selling 7ft used barbells with clips for like £20 a pop from an old gym. some bent but most looked decent.

Olimpus are fucking rip offs, there just a sub brand of mega fitnes, a german equipment store, they sell the exact same products but blow up the price 20%,I made identical shopping carts on both sites, Mega fitness came up to 1300€ with shipping to austria (they don't ship directly to Slovenia) while olimpus came up to 1600€
The equipment actually seems like it's of good quality, except some of the squat stands seem shady

Sadly you can't order to Balkan without them and Rogue stuff is too expensive. Still, I only need atx for barbells as I use strength shop for everything else.
