I have financial problems right now so I can't afford a gym right now, but I will go to a proper gym once I get my financials in order. But I don't want to start losing weight until I'm good financially, hence I'm working with what I have.

It's called riding a bike or doing literally anything else that doesn't involve a lot of pressure on your knees.

drink a lot, go for walks manteining a speed that you feel is fast enough to put your body under pressure but not enough that you loose proper posture, if you have a bike go cycling, if you have access to a pool go swim. eat less and better, do some body-weight exercises, do stretching, if you are constant with this shit you wont get ripped but you will lose weight just fine. dont pay for a gym if they make you doing only stupid things.

That's criminal advice right there. He might not want to go through the trouble of coaching you if you're too fat, not mobile enough etc. but what he's saying is complete bullshit. Lifting will fix a shitload of problems you'd encounter doing other exercises while being heavy. A stronger core alone would make walks feel more pleasant, for instance, as it greatly reduces the likelihood of getting lumbar pains (for instance).

Yeah, some anons already recommended to incorporate lifting. I do have a set of dumbbells I can work with since I can't join a gym yet.
