Male Nursing - the most Jow Forums profession

You cannot deny this

Working with 90% female nurse coworkers is literal hell on earth. They try to drag you into their drama, and then make complaints to HR when you don't play their games. Even had a bitch that made up false sexual assault charges against me, and not a damn thing happened to her when she admitted it wasn't true. Fuck that shit. Fuck those cunts. Glad I went back to school and got my masters. Now I work in a small outpatient clinic with mostly male ortho doctors and radiology fags.

Good joke. 99.9% of nurses are a female or twink

ortho doctors are the most retarded of any doctors, not to mention radiology retards who can;t even perform their own jobs and rely on others

imagine cooning for nurses this hard

>ortho doctors are the most retarded of any doctors
Being specialized doesn't make you retarded
Met a lot more retarded general practice docs

>not to mention radiology retards who can;t even perform their own jobs and rely on others
It only takes one person to work MRI's and Xrays. I don't know where you've been that a tech was hired without knowing how to work his machines

Want to do this so badly lads

No it always takes dozens of people to x-ray, MRI, etc

I only have a sample size of 1 so I may be biased here, but the ortho I used to work for was an insurance /fraud/ing alcoholic scumbag who treated everyone like dogshit and couldn't be arsed to actually do his job.

Well that's not true. Or maybe you worked in Africa where everyone is literally retarded.

Nuclear weapons technician

EMT's and paramedics make garbage money. Like $12-15 an hour. Don't do it. Firefighters have a pretty sweet job though. Getting paid to sit around and work out seems sweet. Good benefits too.

>Cleaning up piss and shit
>Working shitty hours for shit pay
>Womans job of nursing the useless

Except not going to uni at all, it's the most beta thing you can do with your life.

Rad tech student here, what am I in for? Am I making a terrible mistake?

I want to avoid wagecuck hell, but I don’t know how the job market it out there. (Also recently found out we administer the barium enemas and possibly contrast catheters ourselves... not jazzed about that, thought nurses did the dirty work)

stop pretending you're a doctor, you're a blue collar drone

I'm a radiographer (UK equivalent) and it's a pretty cushy job compared to most healthcare professions. Here you can pretty much walk into a job and career advancement is easy

What’s the comfiest state to be a firefighter in bros?

So I've worked as a LPN ,RRT, and currently a PA.
Rad tech isn't a bad job, but there are higher paying associate degrees. Respiratory therapists make around 65k, while Rad techs make around 55k. Radiation Therapists make around 70k-80k.
But you do have room for advancement, unlike Respiratory Therapists. After you graduate, you can take a year long course and get certified to work on MRI's, which pays about 75k I believe. Sonography is available to you as well, although I don't know too much about it. But it would at about 20k to your yearly earnings which is nice. 3 years of school for 75k is pretty sweet, and better than most bachelors.
You should continue your education one you start working. And you might want to look into PA programs, after you knock out the 3 years of required experience. It's the best job in any hospital.
>thought nurses did the dirty work
lol Nope. That's all you. Catheters aren't that bad, and you won't be doing them often.

lmao are you the same dude who spammed these topics last year?

Anyway I agree. I'm doing nursing right now and it's fucking heaven. I'm surrounded by cuties and they mire me all day. It's like living one of those /testboost/ threads except in real life.

Thanks, but our systems are so different I don’t know if it makes sense to compare them.

I guess there is a reputation of us being simple button pushers.

You’re thinking of the psych nurse posts?

Im a permanant Firefighter. Ama

Queensland

No, they are fat.

I remember reading something saying radiology will be the first profession in medicine to be totally automated. Is this true?

Actual male nurse from the USA here. Hospital, cardiac PCU Adult. AMA.

How is the entry for guys? (Over females)

I applied for only 5 schools this cycle on a whim but learned afterwards that average is 10-15. I’ve gotten 3 rejects so far. The questions of “why do you want to come here” was hard in the sense that I couldn’t make a smoke up the butt answer when in reality it’s an hour away and convenient than moving across the country. Some of the kids I tutored this summer for AP and Bio got in to pa/nursing programs and they were fucking retarded. I don’t know how they got accepted. I do know some went on these mission trips to 3rd world country and took bp’s for a few days then vacation mode and wrote that is was such a life changing experience. I’m slaving as an Ed tech trying to get another 1000 hours

Saw some nurse thots wearing their tight form fitting scrubs when volunteering yesterday

Thanks mate

That's not a question

Any Canadian Paramedics ITT? Been thinking about going back to school for it, but I'm looking into the job market before I make the jump

What's the salary like? Are female nurses really as troublesome as others have mentioned?

Attached: doctor2.jpg (400x400, 82K)

nurses dont wear stethoscopes retard

There is a current recruitment drive if you check the website

Where do u like your bf to cum?

Pharmacy will be automated first

>calls someone else a retard
>says retarded thing

you're not doing yourself any favors

>read the residency requirements
>Aussie/NZ only
God I hate being an Amerimutt sometimes

Athletes at #5? Fuck off with this bullshit

>college and university professors
what

So cal

LOL

Except ortho is the most competitive specialty in medicine

The only reason Jow Forums likes male nurses/EMTs is because you envy doctors and couldn't make it as one. Now you tell yourself you're more competent than them because you do 90% of the work whilst they tell you what do to.

Med student here. Let's see how alpha and Jow Forums your job really is when I tell you to give a 250lbs patient an enema.

>My job with no real physical element is the most Jow Forums job!

Attached: pp,840x830-pad,750x1000,f8f8f8.jpg (750x1000, 80K)

No real job will be automated any time soon.

Fucking hell they still havent managed to make a competent automated cashier. Even with the help of the human customer, self checkouts are so garbage that shoplifting prevention features have to be disabled for them to be even usable.

There will be no self driving cars, and your job will not be automated. The only thing that will happen to decrease human labor demand will be human operated machines that save enough time to allow the HUMAN to get more work done in a day. Things such as pallet jacks and well made excel sheets.

>the virgin nurse vs the chad pa

>tfw just got my ADN two weeks ago

Attached: e28.jpg (352x338, 121K)

This. It's just uppity nerds with too much confidence in their code writing buzzfeed articles fearmongering

The programmers at my old job made a new insurance system designed to eventually replace the underwriters. It was so bad they had to hire all of us an assistant to cope with the additional work it created

The thought of self driving trucks getting cut off by 90% of drivers and missing their delivery targets makes me laugh so hard as well. People are going to smack down and rob delivery drones. Even that hitchhiking robot got his ass whooped in the states

Some doctors will literally refuse to allow you to work under them for not being a female.
A nurse is supposed to care for individuals, its better suited for women.

>Some doctors will literally refuse to allow you to work under them for not being a female.
Fucking what?

?!? most doctors love working with make nurses more. less bs.drama, no issues turning the pt. actually work, not do 30 min selfies and txts

>terrible hours, bad sleep
>menial labor
>huge amounts of stress on a daily basis
>have to deal with people shitting on you all day verbally and literally

The pay is acceptable but the amount of stress and how much this job grinds you down just makes it absolutely not worth it not in a million years. I always feel bad when I see young pretty women proudly declaring that they are becoming a nurse. In 20 years they turn into fat, miserable slugs of humans.

Attached: 4235262362.png (400x267, 190K)

This beanboy wojak is starting to annoy me, he doesn’t even make sense in this context

Not any time soon. And I don't think any sort of medicine will be fully automated. I have heard about AI being used to diagnose tumors and cancers through radiographs, which would be neat to see.

Never had a problem getting a job or getting into a school. But I'm technically a "disabled veteran" so I think schools/hospitals get certain federal benefits for accepting/hiring me. You shouldn't have trouble finding work though. Make a good impression during clinicals, and you will have a job waiting for you upon graduation. Also, men are preferred over women in basically all medical jobs.

LPN (2 year degree) - $35-40k
RN (4 year) - $70k, probably about 90k in California/New York
NP (6 years) - $100k
CRNA (6 years + internship) - 150K

Its just the retard's way of trying to build an argument.

Outpatient is the best choice. If you don't work in management.

Then again, management at an outpatient practice isn't too shabby either

What do you think gets LARPed more on Jow Forums?

Male nurse or $100 gorillion/year software dev?

For sure. The only thing I miss is getting 4 days off a week. But the 9 to 5 life is much less stressful.

i dont know how anyone can work in hosptials long term doing anything.
They treat you like shit, your co workers are all mentally ill faggots that constantly call off and fuck the schedules up and they cant fire them because muh ilness or muh weird religion needs this day off or ill sue ;DDD
Do not work in hosptials unless you have too.

>nursing
>not engineering

>Queensland
based

Are you that guy that posts monthly threads on the misc about nursing vs engineering?

Depends on the job dude. I work in a hospital as a radiation oncology physicist and most of my time is just performing QA on the linear accelerators and helping the dosimetrists with treatment planning. I rarely have to stay past 5 and I get a lot of days off. It's not that stressful at all compared to what life was like during my PhD.

>Nurses
Mentally ill, chronically stressed out, perform a feminine role in society.
>Engineers
Beta male incels that think drinking beer makes them cool and have a superiority complex

Let's be honest neither of those are Jow Forums at all.

Fellow PA bro checking in.

I wish I liked ortho enough to want to do it, honestly. The jobs are plentiful for PAs and the cash is great.

Is being a Writer the only, truly Jow Forums career?

Attached: Mishima squat.gif (475x324, 48K)

>not being in the creative industry
lmao

"creative industry"... what does that even mean? That's not even a thing.

design, publishing, visual arts, etc.

I think it means porn or fanfiction. Possibly both.

I get paid 70k a year to write furry porn.

Attached: KkkVvKt_zps0fecb58c.gif (200x200, 559K)

I hope this is real. Can you send a link, or give us a little taste of what you're working on right now? Do people request certain stories, and then you write? Are pictures included? How much for a story?

OP specifically said Male (Registered) Nursing: MALE. That screenshot you posted didn't differentiate between the males and females - which is composed of a 1-Male-for-every-9-females workforce. The 10-12% of males in the RN field are majority Jow Forums, the reason being that they compensate for being in a heavily female-dominated field and are always expected to do all the heavy lifting/restraining when they're around.

You have a cock and balls as an RN? Get ready to help lift everyone's 200lb+ pts.

Shit man, 50 Shades was pron fanfiction and made it's roastie author like $150000000

Even if some revolutionary AI becomes 99.9999% accurate at diagnosing, they're still going to need a few human radiologists around to put their signature down on the paperwork for liability reasons.

Genuinely curious as to how you got started doing that. I'm a somewhat decent writer and wonder if there's any money in it.

lol. Actual doctors are the most alpha in a hospital.

These are just sound bytes and still are nearly meaningless.

Cardiovascular surgeons are most alpha. And the most crazy. They do some really incredible shit though. Young docs are nerdy, and the old ones are cantankerous. The tv show Scrubs is pretty accurate for the most part.

Female nurses are only slightly more stable than hair dressers. But that's just what I know based on relationships. Anytime you have more than one female coworker in any career, you are going to get caught in the crossfire of their shit.

why do people always say nurses are crazy? how so?

EMT pays lousy, high stress, traumatic shit for making as much as a wage at mcdolan's or some warehouse job with exconvicts.

yes. try going outside more

>always hear how insane nurses are
>worked in hospital different department for 5 years and havent seen said insanity

what am i missing, why do people say this, why are they bad

Male nurse? Just become a nanny, hair stylist or gardener already xddddddddsdsds

>outdoor hospitals
Pretty sure those are just refugee camps, chief

It's generally an all female workforce which is always disastrous. Drama, pettiness, and passive aggressiveness are the norm. The higher ups, or management, are female as well (you will be discriminated against for having testicles). You will be doing all the physical work as well (which is why male nurses are in such high demand, and generally get paid more).

This past Friday I was called into HR (all females).
>The complaint was that "a group of nurses came to us today, we were informed that you are intimidating the other nurses in your ward." >I asked how I was being intimidating, as I'm generally polite and respectful.
>Basically was told they (2 cunts) didn't want to work with me because I'm confident at work. I've worked 9 years in healthcare and know what I'm doing.
>I was told to "take my actions into account" and to "watch my behavior while around them".
Essentially these bitches felt insecure around me as they haven't worked for too long, and are trying to attack me with paperwork to get back at me
I fucking hate women

Sounds like it's time to lawyer up, bro

Powerlifters bring the average down

Yup to all these. Actually my first job out of public safety (basic emt) was a warehouse job where I almost got doubly my emt pay. It was a headquarter warehouse for a fancy US based company though but had tons of convicts

yea but being an EMT is shit job for the pay
being a nurse is just as shit but I guess the pays ok

i'd rather work in non-medical field, fuck the blood piss shit sores and puss thank you very much

depends where you work
if you work at a nursing home or something you wont be cleaning much shit, thats the CNA grunts job

My two cents:

Pros:
>Good pay/benefits
>Usually only work 3-4 days a week
>Active job, on feet for much of day.
>You WILL stay busy if you work in a hospital, especially in ER/ICU. This generally makes your work go by more quickly.
>You know more about medicine and health than most people ever will
>Most people appreciate your time for taking care of them or their families
>You learn to develop of backbone and a thick skin after awhile, not give a shit about what other people say/think

Cons:
>12 hour work shift, can be extra long on some days
>Dealing with REALLY entitled patients (not taking responsibility for their health, chronic drug seekers who will try to manipulate, angry homeless with mental health issues too long to list)
>In the ER/urgent care setting, most of the patients that come in are not gun shots, assaults or anything exciting like in the TV shows... it's going to be old people with respiratory issues or chest pain and young people with gastrointestinal/reproductive problems
>You can develop a hardened attitude against people who are many times having a really, really bad day.
>Coworkers (usually older staff, think 45+) can be a pain in the ass to deal with

The above pertains working in a inpatient/hospital setting, can't speak for other places. Your experience as a nurse varies greatly between hospital to hospital. Be prepared to be called Doctor by your patients, even after correcting them. The only area I would recommend against male nurses going into is Labor and Delivery; lots of "gurl power" and feminist types that'll try to make you feel stupid.

>he only area I would recommend against male nurses going into is Labor and Delivery; lots of "gurl power" and feminist types that'll try to make you feel stupid.
Got any stories in this department? I could go for a good rage

Move to Aus, my sister and her partner moved there. On the GC, made around $100k AUD/year after taking into account penalty pay, overtime etc. + the GC lifestyle is pretty nice ifg you are into beaches and shit.

it's depressing man. it'll make you borderline sociopathic. I felt disgusted how things worked in that field. you don't look at these patients as people. just as parts and textbook definitions while the patient is in agonizing pain and confusion hearing the staff talk in in moonspeak.
