ITT: Your Favorite Lifts

Post your favorite lifts, the more untraditional or unpopular the better.

For me, its the stiff-legged deadlift.

OHP because I mog everyone in my gym by doing more than 1 pl8

Zercher squat. Makes you look like a retard who doesn't know how to rack position, and really rips and tears the skin on your elbows, but it feels so fucking good. There was a period of about 4 months where this was the only lift I did, and my quads blew the fuck up.

I don’t get it. Why would this do anything over a front squat?

>t. leans back 45 degrees and thinks his standing incline press is ohp

I just switched from doing stuff leg to Romanian deadlift and I'm not sure I like it as much. For me it's probably OHP.

Speak for yourself dyel

Med ball slam

To attract homosexual partners

Ohp for feeling like a man. sitting preacher curls just cause I love feeling that pump in my arms

To work your arms on leg-day

one arm smith machine snatch

Bulgarian split squats, my legs and ass blow up

Did that hit home little buddy?

just started doing these get crazy back activation

No you're just a dyel. 1pl8 isn't even hard, you get it after like 3 months of lifting.

What do SLDLs offer that RDLs don't? The main thing I can think of is that RDL starts on the eccentric and SLDL on the concentric, but if you wanna do concentric just do normal deadlifts, partials, or deficits

You get even better back activation if the bench is horizontal, your free hand on keeping you balanced and the bench, and you aren't laying your flubber across a slanted bench like pic related

nah not really

Z Press aka hard mode overhead press

To please the Bloat God

you're just proving my point idiot
1pl8 strict ohp doesn't happen after 3 months
In my 18 months at the gym I have seen maybe 3 people doing ohp correctly

bent over rows. also quite enjoy ohp and dips.
my least favorite is probably the bench press

Yes it does kek, not everyone is a manlet with shit genetics

being a manlet actually helps with OHP
put some effort into your trolling

I feel like a badass with any landmine exercise, specially with a landmine press (even better if you make it look like you're throwing crosses with the bar) and a t bar row

try carrying the weight of four CORPSES in your ELBOWS.
WHAT CAN GET MORE FUNCTIONAL THAN THAT?

The pull up, because it looks cool.

Resistsnce band Ohnoshedidnts for rotator cuff gains

Bench>=barbell row>DL>squat>ohp

If this isn't your order you deserve to be ridiculed.

It works your core harder

I feel stiff legs in my Jammie’s more.

Behind the neck press. Basically ohp but starting from back rack. Prevents you from cheating with lean and works all sorts of crazy shoulder muscles you didn't know you had.

A few weeks of it and my ohp went up like 20lbs, it's nuts.

Z press is great

Attached: downloadfile-3.jpg (620x349, 105K)

i like farmer walks, no particular reason

favorite: OHP because it is by ratio my heaviest
least favourite:
>calf raises
they are strange as far as reps and weight go, and my calves never grow

Supersquat machine

Power snatch

if you get really good at it you can basically fling the average DYELs deadlift working set over your head

there is nothing more satisfying than mogging a DYEL in a uni commerical gym by doing just that

Plus its a great back and leg builder

Attached: keep_it_up_anon.jpg (1280x720, 119K)

I like to strict curl more than what guys are swinging

Neck curl in evey direction and i feel like being both chad and retard in the gym at the same time

Walking dumbbell lunges are my favourite for legs, barbell seal rows my favourite for upper.

Any time I do front squats I feel like I'm going to choke and my right hand gets sore. Prob my fault for poor mobility, but I stick to zercher squats any way.

I'm less than two months back into lifting again and had a few travels interrupting my training and I'm doing 45kg 3x5. I definitely see 1pl8 possible in 3-4 months for serious lifters.

Who the fuck is Zercher?

Seated rows followed by dips.

Weighted dips by hanging plates from my neck with a chain.

I can feel the gym shutting the fuck up when I gear up, even if only with 20lbs (for now).

Also ATG high-bar squats with >2pl8 makes everyone mire, fuck even DLs too. Maybe I'm in a shitty gym.

For me, it’s the Yates row

Attached: 9547FB9A-D971-472F-89CE-CA618F5FF56B.jpg (372x483, 45K)

I'd be too embarrassed to try that, I already look like a try hard by being the only 26 year old at my gym every day.

behind the neck lifts fuck up your ligaments and tendons. have fun m8

Standing Row, love the motion and the look

>I can feel the gym shutting the fuck up when I gear up, even if only with 20lbs (for now).
>(for now)
holy shit man

What? It's not a lot. Add weight in 1kg increments and you'll get there easily. Tomorrow I'm trying 11.25kg (~24lbs).

Dumbell bench press because meanwhile others use 30s i use 60s and mog everyone

It's possible if you follow starting strength properly and gain 100 pounds within those first 3 months.

>Z Press

Attached: 1525404251054.gif (263x396, 649K)

I can't even get the bar on my shoulders for a front squat so I might try this Zercher bullshit.

>fav lift
Curl, incline barbell press, benchpress, chest fly machine

>unfav lift
Unironically deadlift.

Lol chestcurlbro,
I see dyel versions of you all the time.
Have you strong just only uptop??

stretch your upper back and chest. My front squat went from around 1pl8 to 2pl8 in like a month when i could finally get atleast 3 fingers on the bar. I can get my whole hand now, but i don't really think it's necessary.

1pl8 really isn't that big of deal, most people just don't program OHP. After 5 months on nsuns I went from 47.5 for 5 to 60 for 3 and now am on 62.5 for 4 at 83.8kg 185cm.

kg?

NO

Attached: 1567722579931.jpg (1028x1016, 324K)

I think it's mostly my forearms being long an inflexible, but yeah I'll start trying soon, maybe when my squat starts to plateau (got back into lifting just 2 months ago doing lmao2pl8 right now).

My nigga.

Imagine not doing this.

Builds toughness, works the biceps.

For me, it's the clean and press. If you can't take at least 1 plate from the ground to over your head, you haven't made it yet.

>lmao1pl8

yes

t. guy who isnt even 1/2/3/4

im 2/3/4/5 and LOVE the Behind The Neck Press™ the stretch is unlike anything else.

youre a just a weak faggot spewing other bullshit he heard from someone else. literally a drone

>im 2/3/4/5
post body

Sorry my phone broke using old dumb phone now teehee

I used to do them but I get so gassed by it that I can’t make more than 2 sets of 8 and the reps feel like an absolute slog

a Z press is a Z press, you can't say it's only a half

Attached: f16.png (354x357, 4K)

>being the only 26 year old at my gym every day.

I am sure this is bait but just in case... I mean I get it because my insecurity about my age peaked at 26, but cmon son this is ridiculous. The sooner you get over this mindset and stop giving fucks, the sooner your power level will increase.

>t. 29 y/o boomer stoked to be 30 in a month

Do your fucking job mods

that's romanian deadlift you uncultured swine.

completely retarded

Flat bench is my favorite even though I’m pretty weak on it proportionally. Just feels good man

Deadlifts and then Sumo deadlifts

T-bar row, because of the neutral grip

Single legged deadlift
Pendlay row

Have you tried this?
Why is it retarded?

Attached: 29-Figure4-1.png (592x400, 125K)

Training to punch nazis.

SLDL works your hamstrongs more because the less bend you have in your knees, the more your hamstrings are working (in hip rotation movements).

Why did post a biz maymay

Sumo-stance clean

Try doing this on an incline bench, insane pumps and muscle separation. Pro tip: arch back at the top

Incline bench and rows

I did it after 4, with a loosely followed diet and schedule

>nice anecdotal evidence

I have a 6'5" wingspan and busted through my plateaus with high volume db press. It's not hard

what the fuck

this is next level lifting autism

The Squat

Attached: squat.jpg (600x400, 61K)

Single arm dumbell swings.

They're stupid as fuck. But it feels so cool while you're doing it.

Just letting you know user that I nailed 11.25kg today

Pull ups and chin ups because I used to not be able to do them at all.
