I love Tharja with all of my heart!!! And now I'm a freeman this entire summer because I just took my finals today. Now I can plan on getting shit done in the summer that I wanted to do for a long time i.e. upgrading my PC.

My most notable pieces:
A dinosaur thigh bone fragment about as big as a guinea pig
A large plesiosaur vertebrae
Fossilized ink (yes that's a thing) that another fossil hunter gifted me in Dorset
Two pieces of amber (one copal, the other blue dominican)
A very nice fragment of well preserved crinoid
Two mosausaur teeth, one of which embedded in its matrix along with several smaller bones of fish and the like.
A small fish that died while trying to eat another fish.

Aside from that I got some smaller pieces like ammonites, trilobites, dinosaur eggshell, belemnites, and shark teeth. Nothing really notable about those but they are neat.
I love prehistory and I always want to add more to my collection. I hope to find something neat in Dorset next summer.

I recommend you take a look at what inspired the look. Much of the aesthetic was based on Heavy Metal/Metal Hurlant comics, specifically the ones drawn by Moebius. You combine that with Ridley Scott's direction, Cronenweth's cinematography and Vangelis' music and you've got a film oozing with style. And don't even get me started on BR2049. I think the phrase "every frame is a painting" applies here. I love the gritty, "used future" aesthetic of the first film as well as the somewhat sleeker yet still retro-futuristic look of the sequel. It's great comparing and contrasting the two, and it helps me to appreciate them even more than I do now.

The ink is pretty rare yeah. Fun thing is: if I grind up the rock and mix it with water I could use it to write. I was told at the Lyme Regis museum that an important document concerning the Jurassic Coast was signed in such ink. Apparently a drawing of an ichthyosaur exists too which is made of it as well.

To think that a squid that died over 100 million years ago provided that ink and we were able to use it. It's breathtaking to me.
It makes that signed document and the drawing more unique than anything else on the planet. Never again will a squid die in that exact spot, at that exact time, to then fossilise so perfectly to preserve the ink, and to then be used for such a purpose.
Their uniqueness is the reason I love fossils so much.
