6'5 disciple of Christ I'm studying to be a clergyman so I haven't been allowed to leave the church for the past 3 months so I have been focusing on bodyweight exercises instead. Seems like calisthenics can take you pretty far if you are heavy enough.
starting my cut today just to get rid of that belly fat. dieting is not an issue for me so give me your cut tips. 6'1, 84 kg. i want to drop to 80 without losing too much strength. so, decreasing my carbs and increasing protein intake?
>cutting >with no muscle mass What's your goal, twink mode? I'd suggest just going for recomp while maintaining intake/weight, since bulking is a meme unless you're on gear.
Parker Mitchell
Looking pretty good for bodyweight only. Look into fucking around with leverage to get that progressive overload. I assume you have a pull up bar. If you don't, get one.
Me. Been training for almost 9 years now but I've been maintaining for like, 5 of them. I've never lost my abs and I have stayed at pretty much the same level of strength for years now. used to be leaner but I have had to become an adult and get a job and shit so I haven't spent as much time in the gym as I'd like. I don't lift with a belt anymore but I think i'm going to start using one again as I want to squat 220 and deadlift 240. That's a long term goal. Beltless lifts:
Squat: Last week I did 170x3 and then 180x1. Could have done 185x1 I think.
DL: 180kgx3 (around 195-200kg 1rm if I had to guess)
>3.5 plate DL looks like this >90kg additional weight on chin up What
Nicholas Evans
You'll drop to 80 in like 2 weeks if you eat no carbs and just get rid of all your glycogen.
If you want to keep strength while cutting, keep carbs high as possible. Then you maintain your energy in the gym and you will still lose weight as long as you're in a calorie deficit. Carbs are not evil and are only converted to fat when your glycogen reserves are basically full and your body has to do de novo lipogenesis. It prefers to just turn fat or even protein into fat over carbs. Don't do low carb, it's shit for muscle retention in my experience but if it works for you it works.

6 months 2400 kcal / day ~ 82 to 77kg 180cm Been doing kickboxing 3x week and lifting 4x week for past 1.5 month
Lost muscle mass and thus weight from Classic release + schoolwork, fuck me. Regaining strength and muscle currently, but maintaining weight. 71 kg, 175 cm. I have recently started trying to add more benchpress volume and in general core exercises (like abs roller and elbow planks, stuff like that).
In this thread, I mire you.
Outstanding transformation user, you turned your v-lines from a weakness to an aesthetic frontpiece. Fuark.
if you take my 1rm to be 200kg (I weigh 92kg) it's 4.5plate.
I just do weighted chin ups for my back. been doing them for years. I just got good at them. i have a video of me doing 86kg weighted in a competition.
Carson Collins
>4.5 plate DL looks like this Point still holds, you look a lot weaker than you are, if your numbers are to believed, and who would go on the internet and tell lies.
Ian Reed
Mirin. Have to ask, you did that in 6 months? the fuck? You must have been lifting for more than 6 months bro.
Camden Myers
>feel like shit about current body >get mired T-thanks, user. Fix your posture and you'll probably look a lot better, hunching over doesn't do your belly any favours.
Wyatt Moore
If i wanted to dox myself I could link you to my powerlifting comp results from when I was 18 and pulled 200, squatted 185 and benched 110. I haven't got much stronger in the last 7 years because I don't really take it seriously and don't compete anymore.
4.5plate DL is not very strong for powerlifting standards, there's a reason I don't compete.
FYI I used to train with Isley. He was my neighbour for a while. Ask him.
Lincoln Moore
Thanks user, it's just regular pose for me to show abs, shoulders, traps, arms, etc. I call it orcing, or looking like an orc. Because of the posture, and all. Also, when you feel bad about your body, contemplate not only that you probably look (and generally are healthier!) better than most other people alive, and also look immensely better than a version of you who never went to work out, ever, or less.
Appreciate it user. I have a dedicated day a week to core workout L-sits, handstands etc. I like to mix up calisthenics with my lifting routines just so it does not get stagnent.
You have a very good frame, either cut down and be aesthetic as fuck e,g, do some HIIT every morning and lift later in the day (what i've been doing)
Lincoln Cruz
I've been training since i was 16 on and off. I just hadnt touched the gym for idk 7-8 months at the first pic. I guess i owe muscle memory some gratitude.
Elijah Garcia
I'm not saying you're lying, I'm just honestly shocked by the disconnect of strength and appearance, since being able to DL 200kg definitely isn't beginner territory, even if we're on Jow Forums.
Andrew Diaz
I mean yeah fair, I just don't train for sarcoplasmic hypertrophy at all, 80% or so of my work sets are in the 3-5 rep range. I don't do any iso apart from 3 sets of curls every week or so if I can be arsed. I'm also not that lean at the moment because I spent my summer drinking, eating like shit and getting fucked up all the time (i actually have a social life).
I honestly don't know how I maintain my strength but there you go.
Tyler Jones
Do you any any tips/resources for weighted chin ups? I've been going at them hard for a while, but I've plateaud around +45kg weighted for 1 at around 100kg bodyweight. I can do 35kg x5 and 42.5kg x2, but I seem to always be stuck around this strength for the past few months.
Gavin Lee
He's probably just tunneling on the arms, since your core looks strong enough to support your numbers.
Levi Brooks
The way I got strong was to do them 3x a week. 3-5 work sets each time, in the 3-5 rep range for 2 of those sessions and in the 8-12 rep range for one of the sessions. I also used to do rows but I dropped them because I hate them. For people who are natty and aiming for strength, frequency trumps volume every time. I don't do many work sets on any of my lifts, but I do it 2-3x a week.
I do them with a supinated grip, obviously. Deadhang. Use liquid chalk, trust me.
There's a sort of technique i'm sure you've clocked by doing them, you sort of want to make your chest as close to horizontal as possible before pulling by sticking your neck back and looking up to the ceiling, and pull your elbows down into your stomach. Your hands should be shoulder width or so apart, but honestly it's different for everyone. I've competed in competitions and I've seen people use all sorts of grips, some guy did an 86kg weighted pull up at fucking 60kg bodyweight (yes, it was a world record) and he used a relatively wide pronated grip so just find what works for you.
A cue I like to use is to think of your hand and forearm as a hook, and you're pulling your elbows down. don't think about pulling with you hands, your hands are just there to grip. Focus on pulling your elbows into you.
Don't max out too often, but this applies to most lifts.
Curls will help. Make sure to properly warm up all the muscles in your back, especially rear delts and rhomboid. I recommend doing light rear debt raises and face pulls as part of your warm up.
Christopher Turner
That's fair. I do have a strong core (this is definitely helped by the weighted chins actually, lots of stabilisation needed there) but I just don't train for size.
Sebastian Nelson
>visible bicep >nice pecs >good standards for normies >but hey, you're a twink compared to me so you shouldn't cut and bulk until you become fat >pic related
Can you read? I didn't say you were a twink, I said you might head into twink territory if you cut with your current muscle mass. I've posted body in this thread, do you see any fatasses? Again, I'm not even saying you look bad, I was offering my opinion on your plan of cutting, while also advertising caution and NOT bulking.
Logan Jenkins
why are you assuming im him? nothing in my response indicates that i am that person, i am merely giving an objective analysis into his body in order to prove your analysis is flawed. If he cuts 2-3kg he will get more visible abs and maybe lose some of that lower pec fat. He didnt post legs so i dont know how the situation is there but cutting might help show more muscle if hes fatty there
Brandon Baker
Posting this again fuck it, 5'7 dwarf bro, ~140lbs
How often do you take a progress pic? Every day? Once a week? Couple times a month? Going on a cut for the first time and was wondering what the norm is.
Benjamin Gonzalez
Mirin Manlet but very aesthetic, mirin
Me after about 8 months of lifting, 18 yo 6'1 180lbs
I take them every week on mondays right aftet waking up

Man I’m 24 and I’ve applied to many places to study to be a priest but I either get rejected or it’s expensive as fuck. I’m roman and I e applied to my local organisation but it’s pricey and can’t afford it. What do? Priesthood in Europe is being made very hard for some reason, wonder (((((who))))))) is behind this
Austin Anderson
Actually sounds like a fair plan. Not be a cunt but don't cut too harshly though, you don't have a massive amount of muscle to cut into yet and you might end up just losing precious gains. Personally I'd either maintain where you are now or start the bulk early.
Jaxson Powell
That pic was right after a workout with tensed muscles. Im currently 78kgs and only 174cm in height. Still have a rather small pot belly when completely relaxed. Hoping to get rid of it at the 68kg mark.
Chase Rodriguez
>Still have a rather small pot belly Yea fair enough then mate, cut and make sure you're not neglecting core work.
Logan Ortiz
Currently doing a german volume routine 5x a week while cutting. I add 4x24 captains chairs/leg raises after every day. Is that enough?
I wish I had shorts like that. As for advice, literally just increase every meals volume with like 10% to 110% of a normal meal and you will gain weight slowly but surely, and it won't be uncomfortable.
No need to gain weight, it won't go to your chest anyways.
Owen Nguyen
Neat. That's actually fine by me.
>I wish I had shorts like that. Got them at decathlon, I think? Can't remember
>As for advice, literally just increase every meals volume with like 10% to 110% of a normal meal and you will gain weight slowly but surely, and it won't be uncomfortable. Noted. Thank you
Kek. You do understand how sportsbras work, right?
Liam Perez
What does a clergyman do? It's amazing to think people get their whole lives paid for and sheltered by an organization that provides nothing to society all while tax free.
Robert Thomas
Yes. I also know a chestlet when I see one, no need to be salty about it.
John Bell
>cutting >no muscle
Are..are you retarded?
Ayden Johnson
>wanting to gain weight on this Why are you falling for the fat normalisation meme?
Ethan Wood
Will I make it Jow Forums? I want to look good with a shirt off and on 18yo 5'8 170lbs DL:425×3 OHP:155×3 BP:205×5 SQ:315×3 (who cares tho)
I'm not trying to get fat. I just want a bit more mass
Luke Stewart
>no muscle i have 84kg with around 13%bf or at least that's what my last gym exam said so, as a 6'1. and i actually have some decent lifts, that's why i don't want to lose strength while cutting.
Ryan Jones
They do it in the butt It’s the sex god can’t see
Jacob Collins
You're deluding yourself if you think you won't get chubby if you're eating more. Women don't put on a lot of muscle mass, so you'll never have to actually "bulk". Hell, bulking is a fucking meme for men too, unless they're on gear.
Doubt. Your arms look way too short to be 6 feet. Even if you had short arms for your height.
Jeremiah Jackson
Can somebody give me a bodyfat estimage ? i want to go to 10% but i'm not sure where i am at.. I;m 6ft6 and 107 kgs atm , i cutted from 130 kgs since March
when i flex them looks better , i have loose skin on arms because they were 50 cm when i was 130kg and now they are 45. Thanks for the estimation , should i go only by the mirror or scale also ? in my mind i'l be 10% at 95kgs but not sure
Camden Garcia
>coping this hard
Dylan Adams
feel like you gotta work the glutes
Joseph Ramirez
also i'm heavily depleted in this photo , when i carb up i look different but i always look leanst when very depleted even if i look flatter
Ethan Reed
>tfw low back fat i would trade all definition in upper back/shoulders to get rid of these saddlebags
pic is a massive cope dude >perfect lighting >moisture >angling as hard as possible to hide fat stomach >covering up tiny chest >leaning back and flexing abs as hard as possible to make it look like they exist that shit might work on Grindr but not here
Jace Martinez
Just started lifting, 5’11, 165lbs, do I have potential?
