How many push ups and pull ups do I need to do a day for upper body strength?

How many push ups and pull ups do I need to do a day for upper body strength?
Is 40 enough? Or I should I do 100?

i did 10 reps 10 sets

OP here, I usually do mine in sets of 20
Did you get decent gains from it?

grease the groove until you can do 100 in a set

You should do your max, then multiply this by 7 or 10, this is the amount of reps for your workout in that day

I was doing 65 push ups in a row every morning but changed it to 55 diamond. Got me a long way not gonna lie, along with fasting and planks I got a solid foundation to take it to the next level. But it's just that, a starting point. You wont achieve a solid body with just push ups.

Unironically follow this shit for rep with BW, great results so far.

Just keep in mind it's easy to quit before reaching your actual max, make sure you literally can't push yourself up anymore and not just that you are taking a mental break

I tried this program like 9 years ago. It didn't work though, I basically got stuck at week 5 or something and couldn't progress.

Where can I scream? I need to scream I nowhere allows it.

>Scream at home, neighbors call landlord
>Scream at work, get fired
>Scream at gym, get kicked out

Screaming helps get through my day to day and I cant do it.

Out in the wild user.
You can scream as loud as you wish there.
You are home.

>You wont achieve a solid body with just push ups.
You can, but you will need to keep incresing the amount of reps to something challenging

get soundproofing or just scream into a pillow/towel. Find a field or somewhere remote go for a calming walk and then scream

50 pushups, 50 pullups, every muscle must be tight.

>50 pushups
NIgger thats nothing

I was in the navy doing shitloads of push ups and so was everyone. Nobody looked impressive. We were all in good shape I guess, but nothing extraordinary. I guess diet plays a part, but if I had spent the same amount of time and effort in a gym doing proper lifts I would've looked like a fucking monster.

Were you doing 10X your max?

This
Or just add bench press, and do chin ups in addition to pull ups

Na just like 5-7 times a day, plus a couple hours of swimming, ten of judo and a bunch of exhausting military training. Doing 10x your max every day sounds silly tho why not just bench at that point.

>why not just bench at that point
Yeah, or just do weighted pushups if you really don't have acess to a gym

in your car if you have one
