I didn't get into Harvard.
I didn't get into Harvard
If you ever even had a chance to get into Harvard, you don't belong here.
off to elon you go
>I didn't get into Harvard.
It's over for you.
Ivy Leagues are for Chads.
Go to community college user.
Awe. You didnt want to go there anyway, its full of smelly people.
MIT student here, lmaoing at your life.
are you the same poster who made the other thread?
Boo hoo fag
The SAT guy? No. But I made one on /sci/.
I'm just incredibly depressed because my friend won a scholarship to Harvard.
>he thought he had a chance
They never learn.
it happens. where did you apply or are going to?
I don't want to talk about it. It's a good school I guess. I don't feel well...
>wanting to go to the liberal cesspool that is Harvard
>crying because he didn't get into an overpriced elitist school and not realizing it's the same education literally anywhere else
yikes OP, kys
do you wanna hang out on discord and maybe try to have some fun instead
You'll be fine user. There are plenty of decent colleges in the US.
do you think you should have gotten into Harvard? explain why or why not
College is fucking worthless these days, just gets you in debt, unless you go to technical school of course
>It's a good school I guess. I don't feel well...
drink some water and don't get too emotional over it. do you even want to go do math or is it just pride?
this. think of all that school debt you just avoided.
>going to college for math
sounds like a one way ticket to being homeless and in debt
they're probably asians so pride lol
It matters much less than you think. I went to totally middle of the road state schools for both my baccalaureate and graduate degrees. I don't regret it in the slightest. Things worked out fine for me. In fact I really don't think about it at all any more.
a lot of people got into ivies and schools of that league from my high school
the difference between ivies and kids who went to their safeties is not as great as you think
This desu
>Go to state school
>Apply to local jobs
>Get a foot in the door because most people there probably went to the state school too
unironically this
i walked out of my first semester with a 0.4 gpa. got put on academic suspension second semester
academic record until i was about 22 was complete trash
i have a legitimate shot at making more money than all the ivy leaguers in a year if i get lucky and haul ass
How to be smart? You guys must know since you've got such great opportunities.
>not realizing it's the same education literally anywhere else
This.
You can graduate an ivy league school with a litteral double digit IQ if you have the right connections and enough money
For non-technical degrees maybe.
For STEM (math/physics in particular), Harvard/MIT kids blows them all out of the water. That's because the courses are geared towards higher caliber people. At those schools, even a 'standard' problem set for a linear algebra class is way harder than your average school's. The style of teaching is completely different.
I don't think there's any great mystery to it. You've access to the internet. Read about the trends in the world economy. See where the opportunities are. See what jobs exist and how much they pay. Go and pursue them. The steps are very clear, they just aren't easy to take.
It's not about being smart, it's about not being retarded.
If you can not be retarded for 30 minutes in an interview and get along reasonably well with them or share something in common, you're basically in.
What kind of style of teaching do they do that's so different and is it better?
I didnt either user
nor any ivies
I want to die daily and it doesnt get any better at some faggy state school
yes, and the kids who simply didn't get in out of luck will make up for it somehow
How do you do it even if it's not easy?
What if you always think what you do is retarded?
>What if you always think what you do is retarded?
Keep winging it until you find someone who doesn't think you're retarded, I guess. Might take a couple of interviews.
I wouldn't say the teaching is really any different to other colleges, in fact at prestigious universities teaching is very hit and miss. But he is right about the people (pic related).
Unsurprisingly top schools do attract brighter people. And they foster an environment for learning and provide students with the best connections and resources for that purpose.
Quite simply through a concerted exertion of will.
Is Johns Hopkins a good school?
transition and/or convert to judaism and apply again
you made the mistake of systematically oppressing the universitygoers with your societal privilege
Are you a WHITE MALE? A roastie admissions officer probably didn't like that and rejected you.
wait a minute, why would 2% of the population...
Jews have really come a long way since the Holocaust.
