Why are conservatives so resistant to acknowledge climate change? Why is protecting the earth considered a libtard thing?

climate change means that free markets aren't the answer to everything so it must be false
Because some idiot English researchers in a grasp to get more funding falsified data and now this is the go to for conservatives to say climate change isn't real. But real talk the thing I ask is when the United States manages to hit environmental standards and europoors can't why are we for some reason outed for it?
If you learned any American government in school you'd know that polarization is making the conservatives even more conservative and the same with the liberals. No moderacy means no middle ground and no progression towards acknowledging climate change because republicans will lose voters if they agree with the democrats
Lots of them are opposed to several aspects of it for different reason, a lot of them are mistaken
> Is climate change a thing?
Yes
> Is it caused by human action?
Some of it yes, but we're not responsible for the biggest ammount of CO2 produced, although our actions suffice to pass certain levels and that can cause vicious cyles
> Are we going to die by 2030?
Of course not, it's nowhere near that fast
> Should we do something about it?
Yes, although the best thing would just be to just go go full nuclear / nuclear fusion in the coming decades.
> Is the Green New Deal a good idea?
No, way too radical on many issues, very alarmist and includes stuff that has nothing to do with the environment
> Should we have pulled out of the Paris accords?
Yes, absolutely, the accords are very different depending on the country and many of the countries just agreed to, "do nothing and just follow the current previsions", obama had put a lot of engagements that cannot be undertaken without crippling the US economy while most other countries juste agreed to not do shit.
> Is this the most pressing issue about the environment?
No, it's not even close, the massive death of the wildlife and insects because of our current mode of agriculture will cause drastic changes in our lives in the coming decades, the rise of Antibiotic resistance will lead to the end of the antibiotic era in the next 10 years causing death rates to skyrocket and surgery to be too risky for most patients, whereas the sea levels are expected to rise about 1 meter in about 150 years... We can easily deal with that with current machinery so yeah, we have time.
>Why are conservatives so resistant to acknowledge climate change
My country's "greenest" Prime Minister is a Conservative.
The biggest poisons to the environment are people without discipline. The water ways are poisoned by countless pills by drug abusers and estrogen dumped by women on the pill.
Beyond the chemical influence? You also have plastics and other byproducts from oil that are destroying the planet faster than a volcano spits out the same CO2 they cry about.
Did you know volcanoes that are active release more toxic gases than we have ever done inthe entirety of our existence? Amazing. Nature. Real powerful force, eh.
Oh never mind the fact that objective data shows that ice shelfs, walls, bergs, etc are actually growing each year. Can anyone tell me what happens if you take a bunch CO2 and spray it at something under pressure or even in a low pressure setting? I'll give you a hint... It doesn't melt. Quite the opposite happens and you're spose to give these faggot niggers money for a comment like, "97% of scientists agree that..."
That's ludicrous and everyone knows it. If these faggots cared about the environment? They would campaign for way better mass energy alternatives. Solar isn't it as that kills like 6000 birds or so monthly. The wind farms do a big dent on bird populations too. But mostly those kill bugs by the tonnes. About 1200 or so every year I think?
Jews are to blame for pushing for this shit and a majority of people are to blame for allowing it.
Jews aren't people BTW
>some of it
skepticalscience.com
>Green New Deal very alarmist
>end of the antibiotic era in the next 10 years
Ajaja. Something tells me you've never seen any chemistry beyond highschool.
>falsified data
What data are you talking about?
What you said is mainly true in the US.
I other countries, conservatives don't necessarily deny climate change.
They are less likely to do something about it (because they are more likely to free markets as opposed to intervention, that's my guess).
Republicans in the US are pretty shameless when it comes to climate change. They out-right deny it.
This is only an American meme, EU conservatives have talked about climate change for ages
This. American conservatism is so bad that progressives from all over the world immediately try to tie the conservatives in their country to the GOP in order to score points and rationalize voting for left wing candidates. It's annoying as fuck
>"don't elect [right wing party]! Look at what's going on in the US with Trump!
Every single day.
Conservatives in Sweden actually want to do something about climate change and get nuclear power back. But the green leftists liberals want to tax the hell out of consumers and waste money on electric car subsidies instead. The left is never pragmatic...
Climate data that UEAs CRU came up was falsified for grants so because of this everyone and their mom uses this to say climate change isnt real.
The GND was an identitarian piece of shit that was also an unrealistic goal. Although I would be on board with the use of nuclear power
It's a little deeper than that. A conservative doesn't hold any value like equality, justice, or liberty. The free market is a good thing because the historical composition of the market has white people at the top. So, even though corporate CEOs are paying 0% in taxes, stealing billions in wage theft, and getting their shit wages subsidizes with food stamps/poverty housing it's a good thing because the amount of melanin within the people of power is adequate. If there were more African Americans and Latinos in power, they would be much more critical of wage theft and economic justice.
On the subject of climate change. Acknowledgement of pollution would sort of imply a misuse of power for projects like the Dakota Access Pipeline and assisting POC with crumbling infrastructure and lead poisoning. In other words, economic justice would appropriate state power for the other which they would rather send young, impoverished people to die than let happen (e.g. Civil War).
>POC
I should have stopped reading at the first sentence. Go back to r*ddit.
Just one last question first:
When you're on Amazon looking up boots. Do you only imagine what they taste like or do you ever order them so that you can lick them yourself?
>If there were more African Americans and Latinos in power, they would be much more critical of wage theft and economic justice.
Political representation doesn't equal economic justice or rising wages. Otherwise places such as Houston, Detroit and even my own city wouldnt have these issues. In fact if anything things have gotten worse for my town and we have had two of our county commissioners and a city councilman go to jail for bribery and money laundering. Shoving people in a position will not automatically create economic success for their constituency.
I agree with you. If I were in Nazi Germany I wouldn't want more female camp guards, either. Conservatives are obsessed with identity politics to the same extent that the blue haired college students are. I'm trying to say that conservatives are only capable of caring about economic justice if positions of power were either equal or biased towards POC.
Economic justice means a lot more than black billionaires.
And your "end of antibiotic era in the next 10 years" is about as far-fetched as muskonauts getting to mars by then - it's a work of fiction.
Antibiotic resistance isn't nearly as much of a problem as you make it to be - ever heard about Candida auris? Much more serious threat to hospitals than some multires gonorrhea or tuberculosis in middle of indian faecal jungle.
>Somebody from Indian faecal jungle gets on a plane before they show signs
>Suddenly XDR Tuberculosis is a problem in your neighborhood
Nosocomial infections are also a big deal, but the two are not mutually exclusive. Do you think the FDA is throwing millions at clinical trials for antibiotic alternatives for fun?
I agree. We should fix climate change and focus on the regions that are causing it. This is why we should wipe China, India, Pakistan and the rest of the "developing" shitholes from the face of the earth.
Wait....You DID know the EU and US barely contribute anything to climate change now, right? I mean ofcourse. You also obviously knew that for some reason white countries are being forced to tighten up for those few 10th percentile reductions in emissions, while China pumps more exotic gasses into the air without a shred of worry.
Oil money. Same reason USA backs saudi arabia.
>while China pumps more exotic gasses into the air without a shred of worry.
except that's false, China has been curbing their pollution by a lot and plans to continue doing so
Source? originally ofc
Wait, I'm confused. The way you're phrasing this implies that the USA isn't the 11th largest producer of CO2 per capita. It's also like you're afraid to acknowledge that it's one of the only large countries in those first 11.
en.wikipedia.org
It's also strange that you believe that China exists in a bubble. China exports more than half a trillion dollars a year in products to the US, you know. That's 5% of the US GDP and 8% of China's.
thebalance.com
China's a shit hole, but the US is no shining city on a mountain.
>raise the accepted pollution levels and rearrange the levels at which it's considered safe, harmful and critical
>"look, we made improvements!"
Don't tell me you think the National Sword policy is helping.
This isn't true. Their case is that they feel that they're still a developing and need to increase their non-renewable energy expenditure as they continue to industrialize. Their government claimed that they expect to "increase less" until later when they feel comfortable with where they are.

how big of a fucking normalfag do you have to be to care about any of this.
this place is infested beyond saving.
>Somebody from Indian faecal jungle gets on a plane
I thought you gave up on sci-fi scenarios.
>Do you think the FDA is throwing millions at clinical trials for antibiotic alternatives for fun?
Not for fun, mostly because they're misinformed, thinking it's hard to come up with new (working) antibiotics - it's not, it's just not profitable (yet).
That's one thing pharma is good at, squeezing every last bit of money from everyone involved.
>Oy vey, your cheap old antibiotics stopped working on these Gram-negative pests, you'e doomed i guess? Unless you pay up 200x the shekels for this new class of antibiotics i _just_ discovered. And thank you for investing in my company to research alternatives to antibiotics, i really needed new yacht.
Can't blame them, it would be really retarded to release new antibiotics now, would just go to waste with the way people are using them. Post-crisis they will (hopefully) cost a lot more and people will learn that common cold really isn't something you prescribe antibiotics for. Hopefully the demented peasant population also learns that no matter the side effects, you don't stop taking them when you "feel alright", but that's just wishful thinking.
>Why is protecting the earth
Liberals aren't doing shit to save the planet. They only pretend to give a shit. Green energy like solar is a meme and they hate nuclear power. Our species has already sealed our fate. Good riddance.
I agree. Now tell me, why do you oppose nuclear energy so much you fucking tranny.
>Green energy like solar is a meme and they hate nuclear power
This, in my country the "green" leftist party fucking hate nuclear power and instead to save the environment they tax the shit out of everyone to increase the cost of living and give subsidies to electric bikes...
Man made climate change has never been proven. Also, the earth was supposed to end 20 years ago, the ice caps were supposed to have melted, blah, blah.None of it happened. It's all a hoax.
Climate change is a meme, everything is completely fine
Climate change is real, but the consequences will pretty much only be positive
>Oh never mind the fact that objective data shows that ice shelfs, walls, bergs, etc are actually growing each year.
This is objectively wrong.
It all has to do with the way voting works in the US that discourages people from voting for any party besides the two main ones (anything else is considered a wasted vote). Since there's only two parties, they have to disagree completely on literally every topic even if it's for insane reasons.
