I had an idea to go to Pitcairn and create a settlement there. Who is with me? Here is my plan:
As the first stage, it was decided to send one person to Pitcairn as a scout to explore the island, contact the authorities and discuss the conditions for moving in, as the information on the Internet is too scarce to base predictions and calculations upon. Along the way, the scout will be making a vlog about the voyage and the life on Pitcairn, posting it to Youtube. It takes about $ 20,000 to travel.
Should the authorities approve the immigration of more than 100 people, the next stage will be the purchase of a passenger ship to transport settlers and tourists. The most suitable type of vessel is a motor catamaran 50-60 feet (15-18 meters) in length, able to transport 20-25 people at a time from Mangareva to Pitcairn. Construction of hotels will commence in case of an increase in the tourist attendance, in order to generate income for our community.
The next stage is the purchase or construction of a cargo ship, which will significantly boost the development of the island's economy, because at present the cargo ship visits Pitcairn only 4 times a year. Estimated vessel length is about 165 feet (50 meters).

Do you think it's a good idea to populate the islands with 100 incels who have no practical skills?
Christopher Robinson
>Do you think it's a good idea to populate the islands with 100 incels who have no practical skills? Our community has different skills. Among us there are programmers, doctors, engineers and other specialists.
Evan Sullivan
How about plumbers, carpenters and electricians? You end up with 50 "programmers", 1 engineer and 49 NEETs.
Adam Miller
people already live on the pitcairns user
Adrian Gutierrez
We have several people with higher technical education. I myself can build houses, repair water pipes and electrical wiring.
Luis Howard
>people already live on the pitcairns user I know. But the population is declining and soon there will be no one there. In addition, nearby there is an uninhabited island of Henderson, which can be cleared of debris and populated.
Jaxon Jackson
Well, I'm an electrican, so I could fix your electrical fuck-ups. I'll go.
Ian Bell
Good. We will need to improve the existing power supply system in Pitcairn. Now there is a diesel power station, which works periodically. It is necessary to make sure that the electric power is constantly supplied.
Owen Thomas
Look at what turned Henderson Island, because of the fact that no one lives on it.
I know how to weld, I'm former carpenter's apprentice, I know cabinet making, mechanics, tailoring, brewing and distilling and I worked as a chef for 3 years in a high end restaurant.
Jayden Russell
A solar powered catamaran would provide cheap tickets to Pitcairn.
We need several more like this user. Along with my electrical trade, I can operate and repair machines, frame houses, farm and fish. Henderson has no generating station nor grid. To implement an electrical system, we'll need capital, engineering, and contruction and maintenance workers.
Blake Martin
I watched this movie. Did you see how they got to Pitcairn? We need to buy a good catamaran and make the ticket price lower than now, then the flow of tourists will increase.
Nathan Perez
right, the hardest part about the project is just getting to the place
that means supplies come months apart
Nathan Bell
We could carry tourists once a week.
Jonathan Mitchell
a nice thought but running and maintaining a boat is extremely costly especially in open salty seas
also you need to find at least 2-3 people willing and able to work on that boat and make the dangerous journey far outside any shipping lanes in areas where no help will come if you are in distress, this is why so many people don't make the journey.
projects like this will become more realistic we advance technology in small and personal aviation. I could see a nice landing pad that would facilitate this island's growth
Christian Nguyen
I have no skills or knowledge of any sort. I guess I do know some anatomy and some basic medicine from the time I failed college. How can I be of use?
Jordan Taylor
What for this? I looked information about these islands and can say that area 42km2 don't enough for normal life. If do you want created progresive country better help such coutries like New Zeland and Australia, how you can help them? We are needing in force propagande about relocation in these countries for east europeans and also for australians and new zelands that it is good, becouse east europeans better than asians(I like koreans and japanes) and indians.

example of a yearly expenditure on just this small 150hp pleasure craft (in 2006)
some of the things on this list would not apply in the open ocean, but you would need a craft 4-5X bigger than this for seas so you can imagine the yearly cost would also be 4-5X this price
uhh correction this is information from 2014 i believe, still expensive
Wyatt Torres
I'd be willing in addition to my previously mentioned skills, I know a bit about sailing on rough waters and had my first experience sail on rough seas when I was a kid. I don't know much about sailing in catamaran though I've only ever sailed small motorless sail boats.
Caleb Morgan
You can study and work in the hospital. We have a doctor, you can help him. A dentist and traumatologist will be required to treat fractures.
Michael Cox
It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It can't be developed.
Gavin Cox
Lol who is going to enforce that
Josiah Allen
try on Jow Forums
Jace Sanchez
>UNESCO I'm Australian, we've never listened to them. E.g. Tasmanian forests.
Brody Reed
>I'd be willing in addition to my previously mentioned skills, I know a bit about sailing on rough waters and had my first experience sail on rough seas when I was a kid. I don't know much about sailing in catamaran though I've only ever sailed small motorless sail boats. 20 passengers will pay $ 500 each. Total 10,000 dollars for the flight. 10 flights and content will pay off. Although in fact the main expenditure item will be fuel.
Nicholas Ross
Yeah, this needs to be BIG, it's a pretty good idea
Liam Robinson
I guess I could be something like a nurse/janitor/whatever combo.
Ethan Campbell
Its been a while since I wired up a house. I could do some of the menial tasks the other anons dont want to do.
Ian Barnes
The United States wants to withdraw from UNESCO. UNESCO is a useless bunch of officials.
Nicholas King
How much for fuel? I'm content working for a ned 3 meal and enough beer and cigarettes to forget all my problema(about $30-$50).
Thomas Martinez
We want to grow sugar cane and process it for alcohol and fill up fuel tanks with alcohol. Then the fuel costs will be minimal.
Luke Cox
That sound pretty, a town near were I grow up grow sugar cane(for rum mostly) and it can grow pretty coles to the sea and north Queensland sugar can survive on less water then most other sugar canes and also has a very high ethanol yield.
That ship costs 3 million tho >I know because it's my dreamboat Am electrical engineer and I would say go for a normal catamaran with sails and then rig it up with solar and an electrical engine for hybrid propulsion >am also able to grow weed
Eli Taylor
You can make this boat cheaper.
Nicholas Garcia
understandable but it still seems like you need a good 5-6 million dollars to kickstart this project or it WILL fail
Juan Jenkins
It would be nice, but unfortunately we do not have such money and we are trying to start with a minimum amount of money.
William Gutierrez
Great until sea goes up and you go blub in 20 years
Christopher Morris
>Great until sea goes up and you go blub in 20 years When will it rise?
Isaiah Murphy
If it rises (I doubt), then we can pour in sand and continue to live.
