I'm swimming 2 times a week. I wish I started earlier, feels great after a session

It's too hard :(

Because all the bitches at my community pool laugh when I take my shirt off

because swimming is for speedofags

I'm not gay

Because I can't afford an olympic sized pool and all the local ones are covered in a sheen of mestizo sweat.

I think people wear jammers nowadays.

My bosses went to a pool in France with swim trunks and they were forced to wear speedos which they kept on hand.

Also, I just swam today for the first time in years. Took a lesson. Going to shoot for exactly two times per week. Need a break from BJJ.

Is it just for cardio?

I do everyday in my tub

An hour of back and bis this morning.

30 min sauna, 30 min swim this evening.

Feeling patrician, lads. A chill little evening swim can do wonders for the spirit. If you live near your gym, you DO have time for these two-a-days.

Tomorrow's squats + accessories in the morning and running/StairMaster in the evening.

I absolutely LOVE swimming. But gave it up so I can make gains.(2018-2019 i gained 25+lbs)

When March1 rolls around hopefully I'm sitting at 200lbs+ and I can hop in the pool and back on the mats shed 10-15lbs then do it all over again in 2020

A pool membership is expensive.

I never learned how to swim and I am afraid of water deeper than my shoulders.

Where the fuck do you think I’m going at 5:15am?

Gyno

nearest pool is at uni, im starting there next year friend

I don't like soaking in chlorine
went swimming in the sea a lot over summer, skin gainz were made, feelsgoodman.jpg

You don’t get gyno from swimming.

He means he has gyno and dont wanna take his shirt off.

patrician

I don't like chlorine water and pee.
My body has a unusualy high density, meaning I'm better at diving than swimming due to a lack of buoyancy.
Also my body looks weird and deformed since my proportions don't realy match.

Kids and old people piss in the pool. Even my gf said she pisses in the pool, i was disgusted.

Because my college swim is always filled with uber chads and I dont want to get mogged to oblivion

The lake was full of algae blooms all summer and soon it will freeze over.

Attached: blue-green algae.jpg (2048x1536, 1.66M)

so what do you do when you need to pee?
are you telling me you actually get out and go to the bathroom?
freak

Because pools are disgusting. I'd be alright with a saltwater pool in an place with few customers, but not the public one.
I'd be swimming more often if I was living next to my favorite "beach".

manlet

Because my brand new poolless gym is $170/yr. Shitton of free weights, cages, and benches.

LA fitness has a pool but it's $450/yr. Fuck that I'll just run.

I actually fucking do, because im not an animal. There should be a special dye added to the pool which turns a certain colour so people can see when someone urinates and then they can be shamed.

why are you so repulsed by pee, it's harmless lol

I actually started last week. It's fun as hell. Working on my frontcrawl atm, trying to get down my breathing as I get burned out after 50m.

Attached: 1531268662545.jpg (868x758, 412K)

I'm black

Let me piss in your mouth then

are you a qt grill

No, but i can areange it for you, at a cost

post the pisser's feet

I really hate chlorine.

My shitty gym doesn't have one, but that will change soon since I will start paying for an LA Fitness membership now that I'm serious about getting fit (already down 45lb), I think Saunas, Pools, and actual fucking racks and not some stupid snap-city smith machine, are really worth it for just 15 bucks more a month.

They tore down the local pool and are building a new one at the moment.

I react horribly to chlorine, get completely covered in hives. Also no access to a pool but thats quite literally a secondary poing

swimming in the bayou is spooky and i dont own a pool

Wish I was rich and could come home from a hard day of work to my mansion and could take a relaxing swim in my private swimming pool.

I wish i had no money and lived alone in the woods in alaska over 200 miles away from the nearest human. And i had a garden and a little house i built myself, and a few dogs

I learned to swim in my thirties. There are adult lessons in most pools and I was one of the youngest ones. You can overcome your fear in a couple of sessions and then swim on your own.

actually just signed up for a local olympic pool, swimming again feels great

currently doing 3x a week, speed/technique&im/aerobic,
then complimenting with 1-2 runs per week and 1-2 strength sessions

>Rest day
>Muscle sore as fuck want to fucking die
>Go do some swimming until I'm out of breath
>take 2-3 min breaks and keep going
>40 min later get out
>Feeling like I'm in heaven
>Muscle no longer sore
>Feel light as fuck
>Feel healthy as fuck
>Feel thirsty as fuck and drink almost 6 glassess of water in a single sitting

God damn I'm going to the pool every rest day from now on.

I don't like it

Sounds like a nice fantasy but being alone is one of the worst things ever.

>go underwater in the deep en

The only swimming pool nearby is always overcrowded

you need to go there super-early

And right after they treat the water.

Because long term exposure to chlorinated water in pools is linked to asthma.

Also time getting in and out of pool vs hoping on cardio equipment

Look it's not like I won't dip into a pool at a resort or whatever, but when you're talking about doing something on the regular you have to consider cumulative risks, which can be substantial

Sorry I don't have a salt water pool.

I can't swim. My school didn't have a swimming program and my family can't afford to give me lessons.

Swimming pool is fucking packed after work. And surprisingly not that empty during work hours as well. So basically too many fucking people to even be able to swim at your own pace.
Also it's a city facility so it's socialist as fuck and close at 6PM which is outrageous.
Basically fuck the pool and yes I'm mad

>being alone is one of the worst things ever
First this post hurt me. Then I realized it was wrong and just fuckin chilled out.

Your family members don't know how to swim either?
At any rate you're an adult now, don't be scared and at least learn breaststroke in case you accidentally fall into a river or something.

Dude, I've been swimming through most of my childhood / teenage years twice a week and I'm just fine. Don't know what are you talking about, if something swimming has made my breathing better and not worse.

You can't be scared of everything, hope you're living in the middle of the forest as the cumulative pollution of cities can cause you asthma. Also remember not to eat fish for the mercury and drink 3 ónións a day.

I practive swimming from Mondays through Fridays and let me tell ya, shit is really good.
>Started a month ago
>didn't know how to swim but slowly started learning to do it
>overcoming my fear of drowning
>doing sit ups, jogging and stretching before going to the pool have really helped me a lot to get fit
>have back pain from having bad posture but this have helped me a lot as well
>have gyro but i don't give a single fuck about what other people think about me

I recommend it 100% if you are still not sure about going to swim. Also, this might sound kind weird but it would be better if you can do it early in the morning so that you'll be awake the whole day. I say this because i was a neet for like 4 years and it was kind difficult to wake up early and staying awake almost the whole day because i felt sleepy so, give it a try bros.

Btw, is there any way to get rid of gyno?, i said i don't care about what other people think about me but i would feel way better if i wouldn't have this shit.
>inb4 get a knife

I guess I was taught how to swim as a child but fuck, isn't it obvious? Like instinctual? I just can't imagine entering a body of water and going "Oh nooo! Straight to the bottom with me!" I mean with full lungs you fucking float.

Not being able to swim is evidence of a negroid-tier brain and absolute hopelessness IMHO

I run maintenance at a swimming pool. Chlorine addition is pretty much automated everywhere now and there is no set time we treat it as a result.

>apartment only has outdoor pool
>used to swim everyday over the summer
>saw this hot daddy stud regularly too
>now it's way too cold to swim

Based.

The 5am swim into 6am lifting just feels amazing

Enjoy losing hair and becoming bauld from the chemical water. Also, chlorine ages your skin and makes you look older, it destroy collagen production. Dumbshits

>chlorine jew

Because a bunch of fucking disgusting arab and sudanese immigrants took over my local pool and pollute both the pool and sauna/ hot tub there on a daily basis.
The first time i saw a nigger getting a blowjob from his cousin in what was supposed to be a pool for laps was all i needed to never swim in that fucking thing again.

Why does the tranny shill force feel the need to spam every thread on Jow Forums with this inane gay shit?
you've already taken over Jow Forums, stay in your containment zone

Is belle delphine the closest we have to a living god?

Kino sentence

Yes

If you're an incel coom brain, yes

Planning on getting into swimming again. For any swimmers on Jow Forums what is your weight training routine?

But I am

I had a membership at North Sydney Olympic Pool when I lived there. Gorgeous.

I've come back to swimming again since I can't take the impact of running anymore. I'm down to a 37:40 mile. Proper earplugs and goggles have helped make the experience good.

There are no swimming pools here in mi city. There are exclusive clubs that have a pool but that's expensive and makes me pay for other shit I will never use like access to soccer, tennis and basketball fields. My cheaper option is to go in a pool full of boomers with sulfur water but that makes me smell weird for 3-5 days.
So yeah it sucks.

Don’t let them win user. Go there and take that shirt off and own it. Them judging you is a sign of their own insecurities.

pools closed

>Being intimidated by thots instead of intimidating thots
NGMI

Post traumatic stress disorder. For some reason I panic after swimming only a little while. Before the middle East I loved to lap swim! Now I just can't do it

Because I sprint and swimming is a non-weight bearing sport that will be bad your bones if you do it rigorously.

I swim every day and literally never lift weights.

>Non-weight bearing
>Bad for your bones
Yeah user, that's why medical professionals recommend swimming to people with fucked up joints.

Dude, no one cares about you or how you look. Just go swim and be happy.

lmao

>If one person has done a thing and is fine there are no risks

Yeah and my grandpappy smoked a pack a day and was strong as an ox until he was 95 so cigarettes are totally fine.

T. I'm a brainlet who can't understand a risk of something is not disproven by an individual not displaying this trait

Attached: 1504743536557.png (638x359, 247K)

>You can't be scared of everything,

Megatard cope. If you're going to consider doing something on a regular basis it's worth contemplating the cumulative risks involved in lifetime exposure to that activity against the benefits and alternatives, then making an informed decision as to whether to proceed or not and what precautions to take.

>I hope you're living in the middle of the forest as the cumulative pollution of cities can cause you asthma

Yeah, PMI 2.5 can also contribute to athleriosclerosis and reduced cognitive function. Which is why I...gasp...

1. Contemplated the risk, researching the magnitude of the danger presented (in my city it's around 2 years of life lost in average, lifetime exposure. Plus whatever risk of asthma, impaired cognitive function)

2. Took steps to mitigate this risk (installed air filters rated large enough for my living space)

3. Moved on with life.

Attached: 1500749885321.jpg (237x192, 7K)

because public pools are disgusting and filled with piss and shit, and because chlorine is horrible for your hair and skin.

Because I live in Hong Kong and the Chinese spit in the pool here ;_;

Pool is true kino

Used to do it a lot until I moved abroad, have to get back into it

I've tried to start a /swim/ general many times but it never takes

For those trying to get into it, this helped me a ton:
ruthkazez.com/ZeroTo1mile.html

It's Couch to 5k for swimming, but a lot less forgiving.

You'll notice she recommends a specific amount of breaths, I HIGHLY recommend sticking to this like glue, I found my lung capacity and breath control increased a huge amount after it

dunno know how to swim :(

I swim a lot but for some reason the pool water always smells funny

Attached: 1562615759531.jpg (680x510, 80K)

I don't trust the sick fucks at my gym to not piss, bleed, vomit, shit, and/or jizz in it. I walk by it and already see like a "skin" on the surface from the old people melting their asses in the sauna then using the pool as their bath tub.

Probably all the Japanese porn being filmed before you get there.

>tfw swimming 3 times a week at my local pond

I'm gonna get real sad when it starts to actually get cold out

Attached: Oh yeah.gif (247x338, 2.34M)

>Btw, is there any way to get rid of gyno?

Surgery. It's actually your only real option if you've already heavily dropped weight

There are no pools around my neighborhood. No fucking way I'm driving more than 3kms to swim
