I like to think weapons and armour collections are a fairly robotic hobby. So why not have a thread about it?
Post your gear!
Sword, Axe, Spear, Polearm and Knife Collections
One sec dude, let me get on my phone. God it's been forever since someone posted about sword and other collections. It's my only real hobby
Mine too, between HEMA and backyard practice with my bro, swordplay is one of my true joys in life.
Pic related. I have got a windlass arming sword in the brown cloth and a Shinwa katana in the black bag
I wish I had HEMA over here in the South.
I'll be dumping random weapons from my collection: starting with my first ever Gladius. EN45 carbon steel, I dropped this accidentally from 2 flights onto concrete and not even a scratch. It's a tough bitch with strong stabbing power.
Do you have a better pic of the arming sword? I've heard good things about Windlass, however Devil's Edge is kickass bang for buck: pic related!
South where? US? I'm based in Dublin, really surprised when I found out we have it here.
Yeah, southern US.
fuck the captchas btw
I would have thought that the HEMA scene is big in the US?
I'm lazy so here's the stock picture
I guess it is. huh. There's an ARMA sector around Birmingham, Alabama.
Stock picture is fine man, I know the pain in the ass of setting them up, getting the pictures in order and all that jazz. I hope in this life that one day I could afford pic related. Albion swords are truly works of art!
Do join a group, you won't regret it! You can socialize and practice with like minded individuals who share our autismal hobby.
This knife is one of my recents:
Here's the katana I own that's in the black bag.
Yea I wish I could own an Albion someday.
Also check these digits
I love all these collections anons.
I've been wanting to start a weapon collection since I was a teenager, but I've never had the money for it. I have a plastic practice long sword and katana
Same here robro, it's hard to find anything like this in the south
Go to the hema website and see if there's a club around your area, that's what I just did.
Man that's cheap! From my original pic here is my katana:

Once you start getting a taste for steel you can't stop. Like I said before, Devil's Edge on the Kult make fantastic swords for low prices: kultofathena.com
That seems expensive, but I guess since its traditionally made and a Huanwei. My katana has great quality though, my shirasaya not so much because Ive banged it up a good bit, the blade is good and tends to bend a whole lot on the shirasaya but at least it doesnt break outright, so I know its tempered well. The shirasaya is Damascus while the katana is high carbon. It feels like the high carbon stronger.
I like collecting old guns, if that counts. I don't have any swords/polearms yet unfortunately, but I'm planning on getting one soon. Any brands you guys recommend? Any I should absolutely avoid?
Overweight KHHV coming in, got a katana and a machete.
>teleports behind you
It is just a model without firing pin or anything, mr glowstein batferberg
>into medieval weapons and armor
Why is this such an incel trait?
>got a katana
of course you do
swords are great, I got the cheapest functional longsword I could find and I'm having a blast learning how to use it. Pluse I'm getting fit from constant practice and my self-esteem is getting better
windlass steelcraft for cool historical replicas, coldsteel for more quality, hanwei is good too but is very specialized in katanas
