Why is it a given that millenials like video games? I was born in 89, and I fucking hate video games. All of them. I read books and browse image boards, I'm pretty good with computers at least front-end stuff, but I HATE video games.

The very thought of competitive/,professional gaming is repulsive to me, and the whole idea of cultures developing around things like speed running, esports, etc is absolutely ridiculous to me.

Absolutely not. Never. Under no circumstances. That's just not how this works. The company just lets those positions stay empty until someone is desperate enough to fill them. In the meantime it's mandatory overtime for everyone. Mary's a single mother and Dave has three kids and a wife at home. They're happy for the overtime pay and would never dream of quitting, even if it means doing the work of two people for 1.5x pay. That's how this works. They don't really pay anyone more they just work the more desperate slaves harder to make up for any slack.

Look up at-will employment. People wanted to improve labor rights by making union dues more optional and allowing them to leave their job at will. It backfired and the result was a dissolution of labor unions and the ability for employers to fire you at any time, for any reason. Or even no reason at all. Only the strongest labor unions survived, like the teamsters, trade unions and law enforcement/corrections. The average person has no rights or bargaining power in the labor market.

As someone who actually works at Amazon I struggle to imagine how they'd implement this into anything but like one of the tasks, if that, especially without just making it more inconvenient.
Shut the fuck up and get a job, dumbass. There will ALWAYS be people to work for whatever little they can get. I'm 20 and I'm making the same ($15.50/hr) & working alongside 60 year olds. It's quite grim. The actual work itself isn't too bad though.

This is somewhat true, but it doesn't mean what you think it means. You can get connections really, really easily if you're a normie. They're necessary but not sufficient for getting a job - you still have to be good, otherwise nobody's going to refer you to HR.
