Long story short. I have an office job, permanent contract, no control over my results, can't be fired unless I REALLY fuck up. Seems cool and it quite is but I'm also dying of boredom here because I have no idea how to spend my time. It literally feels like 8 hours of jailtime. Maybe some indoor hobby could help but I have no idea what to do. What would/do you do in a similar situation?

Go around meeting everyone in the office and ask them about their lives. Being a good listener is fun, its like you get to live vicariously through others.

I'm in the military right now and would kill for a desk job.

>Go around meeting everyone in the office and ask them about their lives
I tried that, yes. They couldn't stop talking about CHILDREN and HUSBANDS and FAMILIES and their children's SCHOOL.... it was a nightmare.

You know what? I'd switch my life with yours right fucking now

that was my plan, too but 2 months ago I was notified that my contract won't be renewed. Now I'm just waiting to be a neet (21st next month)

>I'm just waiting to be a neet
I don't fucking understand. How do NEETs pay for their life? How do you pay for your internet, house, food?

Reading or writing might work. Also you could find a huge video playlist of your fav game, or a good podcast I guess.

Boring boring bring boring!

I'd say start an office romance with the receptionist.

study quantum physics

>I am bored what can I do?
>"study"
jesus christ you're a bunch of nerds no wonder you're all virgins

>what is 'living with your parents'?

I am in the exact same position. Fucking bored everyday. I am going to find a part time job. I realised not too long ago that I do not need the money that comes with a full time job. I get no pleasure from spending on stupid shit. I get pleasure from walks and staring at my bedroom wall. Both cost nothing. Going to find a simple 3 day a week part time.

Leave your comfy office job and get a manual job. You'd be bored out of your mind by doing repetitive work, sometimes in extreme temperatures. But there's always something to do. If you stop working for a second, you get yelled at. Also, you'll earn jack shit. Sound good to you?

read books and watch plotrich tv shows they should help you daydream heavely whenever you aren't doing your job.

what in the fuck, are you going to live with your parents as an adult? Is it worth it?

>I am going to find a part time job.
What if you lose it? I don't know about your situation, but how I said I can't lose mine. Yes, it's boring. Yes it's slowly killing me. But what if I somehow find myself with NO job? I could live one year (one and a half max) without working and then there's the hobo way (or worse, going back to live with my dad)

I guess it depends on how much you value your career, and how much you value others opinions. Not sure where you live, but a lot of people find it hard to find jobs because they think too highly of themselves. I would work retail, be a binman, road sweeper, any job that people are too good for, I would probably do. A job is a job. I am sure you could always find something?

>I am sure you could always find something?
Yes. But that would require levels of activeness I've lost 15 years ago. Working your ass out 12 hours per day for 6/700 euros per month? Now I get 1600 for doing next to nothing. I understand, but holy fuck it's not easy.

no it's not worth it an I hate it. I was already looking for apartments when I got the message.

>I was already looking for apartments when I got the message.
What a loser, lol. Enjoy living next to mommy at 30. Hey, it's not like you get to bring girls to your place anyway no?

12hours per day? Where the fuck in Europe are you?

It was an example. I stay at the office 8 hours per day, he was talking about manual labor... I guess that's just more than 8? Don't workmen in plants, factories and fields work like all day everyday? I have no idea man, never actually worked a day in my life.

>OP has a job
>and many free time
>Dissatisfied with this way of life
I fucking hate you

I don't get how people actually enjoy this. Probably the main thing stopping me from being normie. I just don't care.

oh no. you have made me so angry. how can I ever recover?

learn magic tricks if you have some dexterity, impress hoes and your coworkers.

>no control over my results
What is your job? No control over the product you produce and presumably boreout. Honestly just get good at hearing people walk towards your desk, learn to alt-tab fast but inconspicuously and read worksafe sites with long form journalism. Also try to automate some of your job with scripts. Learning scripting/programming can be fun and rewarding.

t: software developer who usually has days of boreout and one day of working like a madman each week

A boring job is an easy one desu

Can you browse Jow Forums undisturbed? If I could do that and listen to music over headphones it'd be the perfect "job"

You should just be grateful, not many people can complain about how easy their job is op it's not jail op your paid for your time

I just quit my desk job for a higher paying warehouse job. God I can remember being so fucking bored to the point of just wanting to walk out. And the computers at my old job had no internet so I was really fucking bored. What I would suggest you do is to quit or just buy two ice picks and stab your fucking eyes out because at least then you wont be as bored.
