What I listed works, I used them daily. I have had or have: severe tennis elbow, lasting two years, from over training weights and jiu-jitsu. Tried everything to fix it, nothing worked except Animal Pak. Seperated my shoulder from a motorcycle accident. Broken both hands multiple times in fights. Surgery on my back. Broken toe. Not to blog, but I'll quickly share what my current challenge is.
I've worked hard to be more fit than normal, rather happy with it. I've also tried to stimulate my mind with Kims games and chess, and waded through a fair bit of reading. So far, I'm more than happy with my mind and body, although of course they must continue to improve.
Lately I realized that I had been neglecting one critical aspect, my soul. I realized that I have become far too bitter and angry, possibly from fermenting in too much outrage-porn from like minded individuals. In short, I fear I have become anti-social.
I also believe this is an issue that plagues many of us. No matter what we believe, or how efficient we are at propagating ideas, we must be capable of engaging well and frequently with those around us. We have to be the light to our communities, we need to be likeable and welcoming. We can't dwell in negativity.

I should probably ask Jow Forums this but I've been losing weight for the past couple months, I'm 6'0 195 lbs. My BMR seems to be fucked though, rather than blame "genetics" I'm simply eating even less. But at this point I'm only eating 1400 cal a day. My ultimate goal is to start lifting, and bear in mind I'm not a stick under the fat I have left. Should I keep slow cutting until 180, start lifting now, or maybe even start fasting to speed things up?

If you're starting from nothing, you'll see results quickly no matter what regimen you do.
That said, I personally prefer to vary heavier weights / low reps with volume training to shock my muscles.
Every body is different though, although some rules apply, I can't really say what will work best for you.
