Now it's saying I don't have enough space when there's 500gb free what the fuck

linux is stupid

Wait I think it's installing now

OH FUCK. EPIC

nu doom is shit
2>3>64>1>4

Not on gnu/linux tho
ok

If it's shit then you two would make good company

oh lame

shit I forgot that I have to partition my SSD so Windows can use it

Holy crap what will he do

Time to plug in an Ubuntu live installation USB to partition the SSD because last time I tried a Gparted one it didn't work

>installing a 60gb game in a ssd

what's the problem?

I would blow up my computer

>doesn't have at least a 250gb ssd for OS+programs and at least 500gb of ssd for games and whatever else
imagine being this poor

Attached: 545.png (255x255, 80K)

Who the h*ck has 250gb of OS/programs

My SSD is 250gb and I can easily fit Debian and a few games on it with extra space

I have a 256gb SSD installed in my laptop you fucking moron, but I use an external 3Tb HDD for shit like games and movies. The only poorfag here is you for being an inefficient piece of shit.

k SSD partitioned time to finally install doom

also vulkan works better in windows

Yeah I know that's what I used the first time I played it and it ran great. I just heard gnu/linux had good Vulkan support but the game wouldn't run so I gave up.

Linux is gay and so are you for using it

nice

ok

>playing nu-doom ironically, unironically or post-ironically

Attached: American Yotsuba.png (352x320, 20K)

that image is heresy

Both Nvidia and AMD drivers are a pain in the ass to make them work properly, that's why nobody really uses linux as a main os.

>sudo apt install amdgpu
wow that was hard

Stay bluepilled

AHAHAHAHAHAHA U CAN'T PLAY SHOOTAN GAYMES ON GANOO/LINUX

I got two 980GB SSDs full of Steam games I may never play. I win, yuropoor.

dumb furfa-oh you didnt post fur

Whats your hardware set up and version of ubuntu?

It's Debian Testing actually and hardware is an R9 380 and i5-4460, using amdgpu drivers

this sounds pretty bad sorry

rip

It's still installing

God speed bruh
>ubuntu 16.04

Well I'm installing it on Windows now since it didn't work on Debian but I wish I didn't have to.
Also amdgpu still doesn't have Freesync support so it's probably better off this way anyway.

>its installing
>this thread is 4 hours old
>mfw
you live in america for god's sake, your internet speed must be giant

Thats unlucky

The game is 60 fucking gigabytes
Also I'm pretty sure the internet is a lot faster in Romania than it is here

woah
thas alot for a doom game made in 2016
>the internet is a lot faster in Romania
idk about that

Is it just a myth then? I've heard multiple times before that Romania is among the fastest internet speeds in the world.

I use linux as well, but all the games i play run fine on it

what distro? i use fedora

Debian
What games do you play on it?

I think so, I mean in 30 mins I get to download atleast 4-5gb

On Steam downloads I usually get like 3.2mb/s

eve online, dwarf fortress, csgo, tf2

I've been wanting to try out Dwarf Fortress, is there a guide or something I should read before I jump into it?

I recommend you follow this step-by-step on your first playthrough: dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Quickstart_guide

The whole wiki is put together very well

Thanks, I'll check that out.

Your ISP provided router/modem can be bottlenecking the speed a little. They usually don't give you a good unit. Buying a good router can raise the speed a little, or be a waste of money if the old router already was delivering full speed.

I bought a nice router and found my old one was bottleneckign the shit out of my internet speeds by about 30%.

is it done

Should have used solaris

>falling for the Linux meme

BASED DOOM PLAYER

Thanks for the info. I'm using a coaxial to ethernet adapter so that may be slowing down the speeds a little bit too but it's better than the wireless I had before.
Now it is. I just went to bed while it installed.

Fuck there's a Windows update

should‘ve gone with gentoo

Nice to know we're not running low on retardation.
