Week 4 of not being able to get a job
>only week 4
it took me a year after finishing college to just barely find a codemonkey job that is unrelated to my major (aerospace engineering). i just wanted to let you know
leave Jow Forums ffs, take a break, find purpose in life, do it before it is to late.
>year 6 of working at the same job
and it's even a good job
just working my life away
tha'ts why you choose a career you love, not just one that pays good.
Just spam applications
>get hired
>everything's going pretty good
>making sure i know how to do everything the right way
>second day "hey user it's just not working out i'm sorry we're gonna have to let you go"
all because i'm fucking retarded and can't socialize with people. the job itself is pretty easy and laid back, but i just don't know what the hell to say to people outside of greetings. also i have a bored expression at all times while working because like half the job is just waiting on a machine to get done.
how the fuck do you socialize with coworkers? i just don't get it
>week 429 of not getting a job
Happened to me several times. You work just fine a few days and then they cut you for unexplained reasons.
I did choose a career I loved. Working at it for years drains the love out of it. Anything becomes a chore if you have to do it day in and day out for years or decades.
buy a gun and shoot up your work area, then go on the run and end up in oregon living off the land in a forest or smth like that
Nah, my coworkers are pretty decent people. But I'm always keeping the "live off the land in a forest" option in the back of my mind, in case I finally can't take it anymore.
It's taken me nearly two months of trying to get a simple minimum wage job and I still haven't gotten a single response.
I even have previous work experience, why is it so hard?
Being a temporary neet is not fun lads
Why is it so hard?
Because capitalism is getting pretty close to the breaking point. We've gotten to the point where we can easily produce everything we need to sustain our population with only a fraction of the eligible workforce working. There just isn't a financial incentive to have everyone employed. If you fall into the category of "more expensive to employ than the value you bring to an employer", you're fucked, and that category will expand each year as automation and technology improves.
>day 3001 of not working
>the nirvana has fully set in
>i am the pillar of my universe, the NEET god king of my own empire
>dad's pleas and subtle suggestions to get a job have not registered in my psyche for 5 years
>i am the grease of my curly fries
>my hentai collection grows more powerful each day
>no mere mortal will ever know this perfect enlightened tranquility
labour itself isn't as valuable as a commodity. Because every worker is so much more productive than ever before ironically.
Before to run the business you added to pay a western worker to do mundane book keeping now you just don't its all automated or ping pong will do it for $3 an hour.
mabye 1/3 will send you an automated email telling you to fuck off
1/30 will give you an interview, if its anything that not minimum wage service jobs its even worse.
Being forced by my parents to again apply to the place i had a disasterous interview in
Kek. My mom is trying this with me.

What did you do during that year after college?
