>anyone showing up smiling to an interview is psychotic.
I already knew that.
I'm psychotic, remember?
>went to interview today at 11am to a cloth/sport shop.
>guy says he has 2 more people today for the interview.
>he said he will call me tommorow or not if I'm hired
I need to put a cv to a fucking cloth store to have a chance to get a job
welcome to fucking 2019 i'd rather start fucking streaming now or doing porn for fuck sake fuck capitalism and fuck nepotism and fuck every rich retard fag browing this board saying life ain't hard.
To all you guys who got hired through neptoism I hope you get cancer and die in 1 year. kys
You just show up, be polite, and act like you want a job with them specifically. It aces all of my interviews.
yeah its gotten ridiculous. browsing through craigslist last night and a dishwasher job required 3 references. i mean seriously what?
thats apparently not good enough. people want upbeat happy social characters alot of the time. especially in companies where they have a fucking human resources department made up of former high school cheerleaders.
Man to think I managed to scrape my way from some shitty contract job to a glorious unionized utility worker. And I didn't use nepotism to get my foot on that first rung of the ladder.
>Go to hiring event for store
>4 part time positions
>50 people in line
Shit's fucked here m8.
There's literally no reason to not be a streamer or do porn. Best thing to do is combine them. Stream by day and then let old men watch you jack off later.
I've honestly never had a problem. I've worked at ten different companies, pretended that I was a normal person during the interview, then fell back into my old ways as soon as I was hired. Maybe it's the location. I'm in the mid-south.
I've had that too, but they're mostly black guys looking ghetto as fuck, so 90% are ignored.
They're going to have to just make up lots of fake jobs, soon. They will never, ever implement UBI, so they'll have to make a lot of fake jobs where people just sit in some room for 8 hours before being allowed to leave.
Do anons think that starting a youtube channel is still profitable these days?
What could one talk about to get views?
Talk about your feefees.
>people want upbeat happy social characters
I remember my interview to get my job I have right now every single person there was a boomer who I unironically looked straight in the eyes and gave a firm hand shake. Since my hands are rough as sandpaper they didn't pull any of that shit most boomers do to young people for whatever reason and I was firm, confident and precise in my answered and used my questions to show how dedicated I was to safety and responsibilities of the position.
Life ain't really hard though
meh. what job did you get
>people want upbeat happy social characters
I was criticised in my probation review for being too negative. Since when is being a cynic a crime?
Apprentice meterman. Besides my field is full of boomers who wont fuck off so there is no stupid zoomer bullshit like in most corporations. Well at least our field services division.
its a red flag if someone isnt constantly smiling and being positive.
sounds ok. you get to be alone most of the time and get exercise.
Would normies really care about the feefees of a robot?
speaking of interview check out what I'm watching

>full of boomers who wont fuck off
That's why this world is in such a mess. Every generation before the boomers well understood the importance of stepping aside for the young.
>act like you want a job with them specifically
Why do we play this game? All employers know that people don't give a fuck about the company, we don't give a fuck about being a proud member of the Walmart family, I'm not actually passionate about waiting tables. I need money. That's the great thing about UPS and FedEx interviews. They know why you're there. No one WANTS to work at a warehouse.
>I need to put a cv to a fucking cloth store to have a chance to get a job
how's this such an inordinate thing? do americans actually walk up to the manager and give him a firm handshake to get a job?
I'm not salty about it but man imagine turning down $1.2million to go fuck off. Because these guys will not take their buyouts and fuck off.
>Why do we play this game?
Because that's their ideal candidate. If you fit it, they'll hire you. Ideally a company would like a human automaton that lives and breathes for the company. Ideally, we'd want an employer that just gives us money for little to no work. A middle ground is always reached. I do love the places that are straight shooting, and just focus on the business though.
In my experience, the managers and supervisors doing the hiring hate the company more than you ever could.
I think it's just the cycle of abuse. They had to play that stupid game, so you have to, too
Certain jobs shouldn't be so difficult to land nor require a full CV for a part time retail gig. Working in a clothing store is something teenagers do unless it's a high end designer or boutique store. The fact that people in their mid-twenties have to compete with teens in the job market is a sign that shit is kind of fucked for us.
Depending on the job, the "I need money" route can work really well. Managers get shit on for hiring crappy people that leave their jobs, so they want to hire desperate slaves.
no joke i did this. kind of. i applied for a job and got interview. she told me they will finish interviewing candidates later the month. as i was leaving gave a firm handshake. and she said she needs to talk to someone before she can let me go back to the lobby. she comes back and i got the job. im still confused on what happened
my autismal ass had to do 10 years of college to be able to get a job because of all the competition for lower level jobs
maybe try that
It's because you gave that firm handshake, sport. Your mother and I knew you could do it!
hell its probably harder to sit in a room and do nothing (no sleep, no laying on the floor, etc) rather than actually do some easy work, so why the fuck not
Getting a job mostly comes down to being presentable and coming off as not too fucked up.
I once got a job at a high end Japanese restaurant because I was simply better looking than the fat guy they had. I walked in to the interview with the manager and it was pretty short and then the twin sisters who owned the place saw me leaving and rushed out into the parking lot and told me to wait a minute. They went inside and came back after a few minutes and told me I could start that night.
Later on I found out that they had gone in to fire the fat guy who I was going to replace and they only swapped us out because I was thin.
I have an interview in a week to be a cop wish me luck brahs
gl user, seems like a tough job nowadays
>are you x, y, z?
Usually hire anyone. The trick is to do the 2 week paid training and then quit. rinse and repeat
It's about keeping people busy so they don't revolt. You can't just let them roam about with free money and free will. You have to trap them in the room, even if there is nothing at all to do.
Plebs are the bane of any civilised society.
Remember to bring your gun with you and look incredibly twitchy.
Good on you lad, but thats fucked and makes me fear getting hired and then fired
Same my man. Going for a Police Staff assessment next week, hope it goes well for you
cold as ice. so so cold.
lol good idea if you live in a big city. ive done that more than a couple times. no stress. pure chill mode.
Well I mean, they were japs, what do you expect.
Just work for white people and you should be fine.
I should have fucked those twin gook sisters though my god they were so hot.
>be looking for first job
>access online application for no experience jobs
>no education needed
>equal opportunity it says
>>we will train you
>>your race/age/disability doesn't matter, etc
>resume page
its so much easier to say fuck it. that said, a good solution is to get a two year associates degree in IT or healthcare. puts you far apart from the mass of turds who drift from deadend job to deadend job. actually puts you in demand.
>just get a degree
>in the history of mankind most humans didn't have it in them to even learn to read or count above twelve or so
>just get a degree bro
>try to get degree
>usa
>can't afford degree even if smart enough
>must get job to get approved for lone
>never job before
>go to get entry level job
>etc
>etc
>plz resume
loan*
See what kind of genes I'm dealing with? I'd not succeed.
It won't be easy but you can definitely afford to go to school.
You don't need to get a private loan. Fill out the FAFSA and if you're actually poor you'll qualify for government funding.
i feel you, my last two dishwashing jobs required three references. Like it's minimum wage, are you guys expecting me to work like its $100 an hour?
God you guys are such fucking babies.
Are you really this stupid?
Those places print off generic applications.
You can literally pull out your phone and put anyone in the reference section.
You can put your mom there and tell her to not reveal she's your mom.
You can make up numbers and names.
You can put fucking anything because they aren't even going to call.
>waaaaaah but I have to p-p-put references boooo hoo hoooooo i quiiiiiiiiit moommmmyyyyy saaaveee meeeeeee
you dont know whether they will call. in an employers market they often do since so many people are applying.
Both placed called all references, next time I am going to use friends and family though.
The majority of these places will not call references.
If you use fake references and they find out then you got caught, oh well. That's why you apply to multiple places all at once.
I was assuming that you were whining about references because you are a legit robot and don't have 3 contacts in your phone.
If using friends is an actual option for you then you are even more fucking stupid than I thought since the process should be all the easier.
Also I can't think of a single person these days who answers phone calls from unknown numbers. Which is why most of these places don't bother calling anyways. They know that no one is going to pick up.
you were right. i dont have 3 contacts. however i have made them up many times and been hired. point is you cant rely on it working every time
How is that a point? No shit it isn't going to work EVERY time. Nothing works EVERY time.
Yep, after having been in the workforce a whole year now, I've realized it's a giant game of who can screw who over more. Oh well all part of the life experience lol
It's not really about "screwing you over" it's about the fact that you are an unskilled laborer and they really have no way to distinguish you from anyone else, so they ask for additional information so they can try to make some kind of decision because that feels better than just picking a name out of a hat.
If you don't want to be expendable then learn a skill and make your labor valuable. Until then you get what you deserve.
I get that they want a decent candidate, and that I am "expendable", but dishwashing was different. I showed up for most of my shifts and finished work at a decent pace, they told me I was one of their best. Nobody really wants to be a dishwasher after a couple weeks of doing it. Problem is that if they think you are good then you get more work without any pay raise. It was mindless money but it drains the soul
Dishwashing is easy.
A literal retard can wash dishes.
Lol there is no winning with you is there, whatever
Kek, feels good to be public servant master race.
Impartial exam >>>> arbitrary kike criteria and interviews.
What is pissing me off the most right now is getting emails from people who directly send you a job because they said you would be a good candidate. I apply for these low tier jobs but never get a fucking peep back. I thought majority of companies where suppose to at least send you something back saying you didnt pass or whatever?
not anymore. its a doggy dog whirled man. most states have at will employment provisions meaning they can let people go whenever for no particular reason
Fuck thats annoying. We really have no chance do we anymore
its tougher than the last two generations had it for sure
it wouldnt hurt for you to followup.
Not that guy, but I usually don't get a response even when I ask them about it. It's incredibly insulting. The last time I got the guy's phone number, but he started flat out ignoring me the second they decided they didn't want me.
yep thats very common in my experience. i think big corps tell their hr people to ignore and give out no info for legal reasons. thats the kind of world we live in now. everything and anything could end up a lawsuit so corps preempt that by ghosting your ass
>try hard to even get into school so that you can try hard to study so that some day you can finally try hard to do actual work
>might not get in
>might not pass if do get in
>might not get a job after all is said and one
>might get fired if finally job
>job might be too hard so become bum anyway but in college debt
>go to jail over debts a bum could never pay off
