I've just graduated high school from being home schooled, and now I'm expected to do something with my life magically without actually being told how to do it or even what to do. I went to community college for as many credits as I could and did some jewy shit with the fafsa and now am going into my senior year without any student loans and I'm already working a job I give a shit about that isn't dead end. I was in the same position as you when I got out of highschool, but realized that if I ever want to be upper middle class I would need a degree because 70 hour a week IT jobs or 70 hour a week trade back breaking is not for me. There are ways to get to the financial top without college, but every one that isnt a scam or a lottery will take a lot of work. I went to community college and lived with my parents for math, and the easy classes mixed with not having to work outside of a little in the summer to pay the cheap tuition(less than 100$ a credit hour at many community colleges) because I lived with mummy and daddy made it a breeze, with decent focus and a whole lot of free time to spare I got As, and took an actuarial exam which allowed me to be employed when I transferred to a university with a scholarship from the As I got in comm college and allows me to rent a nice apartment in a nice neighborhood because I work a career tier job while still in school instead of part time wageslaving like most normies do. I recommend the community college route lad, if you can live with mummy and daddy. Try to get classes all on Tuesday/thursday or m/w/f, so you only have to uber down twice or 3 times a week if you dont have a car. Or just get a bike, get your exercise in. I lived rural while in comm college and biked 15 miles to school through comfy farmland. The main thing is, get As, and look for a job when you are leaving community college so you can be doing real work by the time you are off finishing your BS. This should be easily possible in most engineering fields, idk about architecture but honestly I just got my gig by calling a bunch of insurance companies seeing if anyone wanted help, you could try the same with architecture firms. Learn CAD, get certified as well, and you will have no problems getting a job while in school. Godspeed lad, jobs arent bad if you make good cash and dont work a lot.

Engineering degrees are not a meme - you genuinely learn a lot of important stuff. Much of what I learned at Uni couldn't easily be learned elsewhere, and there was a lot more that I won't have even thought of learning elsewhere.
