This is my second bout. I was confronted and have been doing better WAY faster than the last time. Before it was manifested in being overweight, I was around 150 pounds and by the end I was around 85. This time I nearly passed out while lifting and my gym buddy told my dad and he was able to figure it out pretty quick.

I feel bad. It's annoying to me that in their pursuit of "equality" all feminism has really done for women like me and the family unit as a whole is make it so a single breadwinners budget is almost not enough to sustain a family. It's now expected for both women to work which leads to a decline in not only the quality of life for both partners (if i was working I'd be too tired to take care of my husband when he gets in from work) but also children (hard to raise a son or daughter with the correct love, care and life lessons when you're getting in from work and all you want to do is nuke them a meal, take a shower and go to bed).

I combat this as best I can be genuinely trying to be a good wife to my husband and manage the household accounts as best I can, keeping costs to a minimum without impacting quality of life when it comes to things like meals, date nights, etc. but it's hard. and it's only getting harder. We're both young and thanks to being born in a post-boomer generation he doesn't earn much, but I didn't marry him because he has deep pockets, I married him because I love him.

I've thought about this idea and thought that there should be a tax credit system for families who only have 1 breadwinner. Subject to qualification (working partner earns 35k or less, no substantial assets, etc). But of course that would make industrialists scream as it would make home-maker lifestyles more attractive to women (regardless of the benefits of their husbands being well fed and happy, and their children growing up well adjusted and intelligent) and that'll spur them to pay their feminist harpies in the media and government to block it.
